First time here. Kind of expected more operating trains . Especially since I visited during the Friday night steam event. Very few steam locomotives actually running. Seemed to be more of a static display. I will say the scenery is amazing. And good representations of the towns involved. Just wish more had been running as you can see from my photos. All these were just sitting still.

We visit every year around the holidays. There's a fascinating display upstairs, set in the 1950s, that begins in Pittsburgh and carries on to Cumberland, Maryland, and we always enjoy finding landmarks we recognize. The level of detail is amazing and there are humorous touches hidden throughout. Our children still love going through and doing the scavenger hunt even though they're teenagers now.

First time here and it was spectacular!! It was expectedly a little busy because of the holidays but it added to the atmosphere, very cool going through with all these other visitors. I've never seen anything like it, the amount of work and detail that goes into the trains and models is just mind boggling, I don't know how many hours go into curating and keeping it going but it has to be a lot because everything was so lovingly taken care of and the volunteers that work here are so nice and helpful. Would recommend to anyone who can go!!
