We originally had booked a different place to camp on our way home from Cali, but it was getting late so we called to see if this campground had any space. They luckily did, and we got a perfect spot- a flat area with room for 2 tents, a little shade and close to the bathrooms. We were able to make a campfire and also enjoy a beautiful sunset over the hills and viewing the super moon. My husband and son even got a little fishing in before we packed up to leave in the morning. A pretty place, with convenient access to I-5, we'll be back again!

It's a place to camp if you like the high mountian desert feel you will like it . No level spot for the tent trash all over. It will probably catch fire there were people lightning fireworks and having camp fires when the whole place looked like could catch fire with a piece of glass laying on the ground. Worst part is dogs are not allowed anywhere but the camp site and this place is far from a national park or a natural preserve.

Still pretty shallow as of 4/16/22 but if it keeps raining...♡

Really sad that the lake is pretty much gone but my dog loves running around chasing squirrels on the dry lake bed. Songer Butte is pretty cool too if you can handle the climb.

You can rent a spot anytime of the day or night they have drop boxes were you can put your credit card information and put it in the lock box
There are plenty of sloped Pathways that you could take a wheelchair down some are very Rocky though so I would be careful
It's a local state law that is active here.
Only in oak slope camp. Point camp is rv only
I don't know would Google to county park . Very Smokey there last week. A lot of no shows
You can have a camp fire and swimming probably
$35 and some ares are less i think..
The primitive site has no dedicated showers or toilets. Showers & Toilets are available within walking distance. (100 yards or so) Don't know about hours but showers were open but looked like they were converting to/from a pay system in May.
You can probably deal with it first thing in the morning.
No free camping at the lake
