We love sledding here. Having the 2 hills is nice, having younger kids it's easier to keep an eye on them playing on the lower hill, while my older kids do the big run. The fire pit is nice, as someone usually has a fire going to keep warm. Parking is close, making it easy to get back to the car if needed. It can be slick getting up to the upper parking, but there is overflow parking below with a bit of a hike up to the sledding hill. Outhouse right there is also great with the littles who have to use the bathroom a bunch after all the hot cocoa. I also like that there's a good spot for me to sit and see everyone, including soft snow areas for snowman building, etc. And it's free!

Such a fun, family friendly place to go! Tons of fresh snow today, it was coming down and the kids loved it! ❄️

There was more than enough last weekend!
Oh yes. Lots of snow up there!!
I am the Park Ranger who cleans it and was just there. The is enough snow but it is just solid ice on the hill. I would not suggest it until it snows again and covers it. It would be painful to come off a tube now.
No, there is just a parking lot there with one unstaffed building that has a restroom.
No, but you need a snow park permit
I was up there a week ago, it was OK, still had enough to play!
Yes there was plenty last week, and it was snowing as we arrived. I can't see a scenario where bit has all melted that quickly.
Yes and snow mobiles aswell
Yes and yes.
There wAs plenty of snow last Saturday
Trucks were getting stuck on the road up to the sloop. We parked at the bottom and walked up. About a 1/4 mile walk.
Free! And there is a bathroom 🚻 . And a shelter with wood stove to get warm. (Closed due to Covid)
Yes. Lots of snow
You have to go up either 66 or dead Indian rd so it just depends on conditions. Once you are near the lake and sled hill the roads level out and there are no steep turns or grades.
Yes, we were up there on Saturday and there was just enough to allow for some decent sledding for the kids.
Call the Jackson County Roads. They can give you updates. Even if Dead Indian is plowed it does not mean Hyatt Prairie Road or Table Mt roads are plowed. Ask specifically about those roads. You might also call Hyatt Prairie Resort. They might know.
Call hyatt lake resort/cabins but I'd guess today, but maybe not by the weekend
