I went middle ground on the stars because the staff has been kind here..... However, I have some real things I dislike about this place. For this review I have to say again... The staff have all been kind! The parts I dislike are: I have a great pyrenees he is a sensitive boy with specific needs breed wise to be as healthy as possible. This location told me to shave him in the summer when you could absolutely harm your pyr and their sensitive skin under all that floof. I was given completely different info from a person who also has a great pyrenees who goes to the SAME location. They have repeated my dogs information wrong to me over the phones and in person. This location is very busy and I understand that. I actually went with them originally because of how many locations they have across the country. But, I really did not like how they charged me for things they did not do. For example during the pandemic they said that we could not go back with our pets however as my dog decided to turn into a giant quickly they started to allow me into a side room with him so I could get him his vaccines. I realized quickly that the so called office visit SHOULD consist of a general check up and I was completely surprised that the only actual thing they did was give him his shots but no check was taking place aside from weighing him BEFORE he even goes back! The visit fee is applied when you go in and again SHOULD include some general well check according to what they say that you are being charged for. The last actual vet I seen here was the first one who took his time to answer and address some concerns I had for my big boy. Prior to that guy no one ever really did anything or talked to me aside from taking payment and checking in. I'm not trying to be a Karen here but seriously consider what you're paying for and actually getting. There is more to what I dont like but I dont wanna just keep complaining. Long story short I have found a new service with a new vet that literally is less than half the cost for the SAME services including a better rabies vaccine AND they are kind enough to come out to the pet and answer your questions all of them... sorry banfield. The biggest plus I can give you is that you are in a store where I can buy giant breed accessories.

Sadly, we had to have our beloved Billy put to rest today. We feel blessed to have been his mom and dad for close to 16 years. Soar with angels BILLY!

I LOVE my vet. They are a bit pricer than most in my area, but even when I rushed my bf's dog in on an emergency, when he wasn't yet a patient, they treated my bro bro with such care, and follow up calls..even trimmed his nails. Its like going to ur family dr way back when..its nice, and they don't push anything on u that u don't need. My kids LOVE going to the vet!!

How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 31, 2020

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 31, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 31, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).

What do you charge for dog teeth cleaning?

Jinni Ciruli | Sep 1, 2018
Lisa Meyer | Sep 1, 2018

Maybe $65 per month, but they will first do a blood test before teeth-cleaning surgery to make sure the kidneys are functioning properly and if your wellness plan doesn't include an extra complete blood test on teeth cleaning day, if your dog ends up having high levels of creatine and the BUN, etc cetera, you, have to pay for the whole complete blood test because your dog has kidney problems and they won't clean the dog's teeth because the anesthesia is going to make the kidneys worse. Therefore, read the fine print about what goes on the day of teeth cleaning. Oh, and u might have to be on wellness plan for 6 months b4 teeth cleaning. Oh, and I don't work there at Banfield, I'm just a customer. However, from what I've noticed, they do treat the animals well.
