I've been going to Fort Whaley and Frontiertown for the last 14 yrs. Went last week and the service and hospitality was horrible as compared to prior ownership. Our cabin was under construction(unfinished deck and not screened) and they used our yard as a storage area for large amounts of lumber. Crews were sawing lumber and using nail guns on our cabin throughout the week. Every question was answered by " I dont know" by the office. When asked to speak to management, was told no one was there and they never called me back as requested. They also stopped pretty much all activities in the pavilion and gave out 10 cent craft kits from the oriental trading company as some form of entertainment.

I'm typically not one to write reviews. Actually, this is my first google review so hopefully you find it helpful. First, the ONLY reason I gave this campground one star was because the sites were spacious and the fire pits are nice. My BIGGEST and most frustrating complaint is the shuttle service they advertise. I stayed there a full 7 nights and the shuttle only ran 1x out of the 7 days I was there. Gas/diesel is not cheap and this campground is not just a hop, skip and a jump to the beach. We ended up dropping at least another 300$ or more on diesel and parking. The amenities like mini golf and camp store all close very early during the week. 4pm to be exact. So if your planning on coming back after a long day at the beach to enjoy mini golf and some camp store ice cream don't bother. The pool hours are a longer than the mini golf and store but very undependable. For example, yesterday we stood outside the pool gate for 40 minutes past opening time waiting for them to open it and another day it closed about an hour early. There weren't any scheduled activities though the week and our cable did not work. I called the office to ask someone to look into it and they said they were sending someone out but nobody showed up. A few other FYI's that I personally wouldn't slash stars but happens often is little kids driving golf carts and riding bikes though other sites. Overall, this campground falsely advertises a bus shuttle, it's overpriced, and boring. Lastly, If you think this place is for you then bring your fly repellent 😬

Fun and clean camp ground. We enjoyed our stay here, unfortunately the cabin left some stuff to be desired. The amenities and camp ground staff were excellent and the location was great. We rented a cabin for 4 days for around $300 a night. The cabin has a mini-split instead of central AC. The small rooms were either freezing or hot, but always had high humidity because the AC appeared to be oversized. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and covered in heavy duty plastic sheeting. The bathroom fan didn't appear to be connected to anything and never removed any humidity. Overall a decent campground but I think we will pass on the cabin next time.

I’ve been here before and had a good experience but i think this will be my last time visiting only because i rented a golf cart and my 16 yr old brother took it without my permission to buy wood from the general store while i was napping and the staff took it off of him. I did go and speak to an employee that claimed she was the manager, but i did explain to her that i didnt know he took it and i tried explaining that i was pregnant and that was the main reason i rented the cart but she didnt seem to care. She said i signed a paper and because he didnt have a license they dont give it back or give a refund. So honestly that ruined the rest of my trip. Because i am pregnant i didnt have the energy to argue back and forth, but i wont be coming back.

It depends on how long you are planning on staying. Or if it's a cabin. But price is good

I would like to tent camp, but my daughter needs a cpap to sleep. Can I rent a premium spot and put up a tent? Therefore we would have the necessary power.
