When you're walking in, you are treated to the deafening shriek of tearing metal due to the escalators clearly not being maintained. It's not only a safety hazard but unpleasant to shop in and I can't imagine having to work in this environment. One of the employees told me they'd complained to the manager but the manager refused to fix the problem. I emailed Party City and never got a response back. I told them in my email the next step would be to file a complaint with the Daly City building inspector. Stopped in this morning and the down escalator wasn't working, so customers were directed to use the elevator, which was last inspected in 2017.

Is this the worst store in North America? One is greeted by the howling shrieks of a rusty escalator that sets the tone: garishly bright fluorescent lights, crackly speakers blaring tired Pop Rock hits from 30 years ago, which does not distract from the choking smell cheap plastic off-gassing. At the checkout: a punctuation mark of high-pitched whistles of the mylar balloon station. Everyone should visit and change all their one stars to two.

Store is usually a mess with nothing in order. But it does it’s job at providing your party essentials. Update: 07.06.18 100's of different types of balloons to choose from here. Huge store that has tons of party supplies/essentials for almost any type of party. The only drawback here is that the lines are extremely slow with only 1 or 2 cashiers working at any given time.
