This was our first time at The Kitchen after hearing about it for years from friends and tonight was an incredible experience! I was blown away by the asparagus — ASPARAGUS! We didn’t really know what to expect from this level of fine dining and were unsure if the dishes would be too sophisticated for our palate but the first dish of asparagus showed us what we’ve been missing! The quality ingredients and sauces tasted so clean yet had rich, complex flavors. The evening was definitely off to an impressive start as that was the most memorable plate of asparagus I’ve ever enjoyed! It appeared we were the only ones to bring our child tonight and our 10-year-old loved it! She can be finicky with certain foods and vegetables at home, but she was a big fan of the asparagus dish, as well as the oysters (trying it for the first time), and the beef medallion (enjoying two servings). The wonton in pea purée was also spectacular. Peas never tasted this good before! Our family really enjoyed the evening together and we are so happy to experience The Kitchen. Before tonight we were also concerned whether we could slog through 4-5 hours of dining but the time flew by. The pacing was perfect and there’s so much going on in front of you and in the kitchen that you don’t pay attention to the time. The service is extremely attentive, courteous, and welcoming. The combination of amazing food and impeccable service results in a very comfortable way to spend the evening. Thank you to the chefs, managers, and entire team for such a perfect and memorable night!

I've been here twice and it was stellar both times. The service is beyond impeccable, the chef is a ton of fun, and the food is the best part. There are no words to describe how much I love this place. It is worth every dollar.

A true dining experience! Reservations are a must and there is a waiting list so get on the phone and make yours now. Staff is amazing and it's entertaining just to observe the fine dining details and how efficient this operation runs. Chef Kelly has a michelan star and the food this evening reflected his talents. Make the commitment and enjoy a 4 hour dining experience like no other!

This is a very exciting and unique dining experience. There is an amazing and fun atmosphere and the chef does a fantastic job of being a big personality, an educator, and a party host. He will bend over backward to make the experience a memorable one for you. At the end of the day, my wife and I had a great time and ate a lot of food we otherwise never would have outside of a Michelin rated restaurant but a lot of the foods were just a bit too rich for us. We definitely didn't leave hungry but we weren't 'stuffed' either... just "done". I've had enough butter to last me until Thanksgiving 😁. Between dinner and the wine flight for two, we neared $750 out the door and to us, that is a lot of money for an experience that was more than memorable but just not really out thing. Our one big gripe was at $125/pp for the wine flight, they forgot our first drink, we asked about it 2x and both times we were told we would get it later but never did. Again, long story short; glad to say we did it, it was an experience but not something either of us will likely do again. I'd persuade others to try it, however. It was just a little lost on us for the price.

The price of dinner is $135 per person, plus a 22% service charge on the entire check and sales tax. Dinner is from 7-11 or so. You can have as many servings of a dish as you want. I had 4 lobsters on 1 of the nights. 😁. Michelin star restaurant!! Well worth every $
If they can sit still for 3 hrs. Haven't seen any children there the times we've been there
Dressy to casual seen very fancy to Jean's wear what makes you feel good.
Yes
You need advance reservation, there's only one seating time per day & the dinner event takes about 3-4 hours to serve all the wonderful courses
I'd suggest to stay downtown sacramento and uber over to the restaurant. Sheraton Grand and The Citizen are good choices
$135 per person plus alcohol. Very easy for two people to spend $500. The food is amazing and it's a really unique experience. A very nice treat.
You have to check open table but usually a month to two. They only show two months of reservations at a time, but they fill very fast and an opening is usually about a month and a half. A tip they usually have Wednesday and Sunday openings but not many
For the meal alone it was $135 per person, wine or cocktail pairings are additional and would likely leave you at the $175 per person range.
