Wildly incompetent! Had to register new car during covid. Sent in all paperwork. They told me the cost I tried to pay they said no the cost is wrong. They gave me a 2nd much higher cost. I asked for a supervisor at this point. They supervisor gave me a 3rd higher cost! I was told the supervisor was an expert and was 100% correct. Now I am really concerned emailed director she had no idea what was going on. Now my registration was expired and the office said the police probably won't pull you over but don't drive out of Manchester. I said ok I have no alternative I will pay... so they said the expert supervisor was wrong and quoted me a 4th higher price!!!!! Watch your back going in to this process!!!

Terrible experience. I received a (rude) call to inform me that my vehicle registration could not be processed until I paid an (alleged) parking ticket for $60 that was not in fact associated with my vehicle. Very frustrating.

Omg, get the car registrations working. I've come in a few times to get this done but your system is still down and it's been over a week. Enough with the incompetency.

as soon as they opened, I stood in line for close to 2 hours there, and didn't move an inch because they computers were down. The clerks seemed like nice people, but it was a serious waste of time. Something that should've taken 20 mins, shouldn't have taken that long. People were piss!

Yes... but you can't apply for a vanity plate.
Best bet is to give them a call and ask what the status of your paperwork is.
Ok you have a guess to what it might be?
It uses factory list price of the car when it was new. Then the rate charged is based on the year of the car. It is highest when new and goes down for the first 6 years. Then if you keep it, it remains the same. If you buy a car which is 6 years old or older, it begins at the lowest rate and stays there.
