Best place to visit. Sacred waters. Bring jugs, camera, and picnic. Kid friendly. Great tree canapy. Creek. Head waters of sacramento river. Must visit, sit, eat and meditate. Dog friendly. Bring lease.

Came here to get some fresh air on our drive, there was live music and dancing in the park, we got to enjoy a view, and ended up getting fresh spring water from a natural spring!

Am excellent road trip stop with lots of space to walk, we didn't see any full restrooms but there were some porta potties available.

Great park and landscaping but lots of weed smoking hippies! The water is the cleanest and coldest in California. The water come out of a hole in the ground. Snow melt from Mt. Shasta seeped though cracks in the mountains and filter though the rock. When it comes out at the park you can fill up your water bottle and drink it. Go early otherwise you will encounter lots of dirty drifters bathing in the water and smoking.

Yes the headwaters is a popular place
Only one i know of is at shastice park and its a nice one.
NOT near the Headwaters area!
It's open now. Just follow the us forest service website or FB. They post closures/reopenings regularly.
No I wouldn't recommend it since it's a community park but there's plenty of camping spots nearby.
Yes it is
Not from this location. This is a city park, located some distance away from the base of the mountain...
Yes, we spent an afternoon there with a 30ft RV. Not sure about overnight parking though
We're on the eastern side of the "green triangle"
Yes and you can bottle some up and take it with you!! Its beautiful!
Yes, there is a lovely gray area with a small playground. There are wood chips on the ground, so plan appropriate clothing and footwear for little ones.
Not sure about that park but shastice park does on the other side of the community garden.
