This was my first time having to go to a dump since I’ve always lived in a big city. I had no idea what to do. The guy at the front was so nice and helpful, prices were fair too. Once I went in the other guys showed me where I needed to go for the specific items I was dumping. Jesse who took my paint cans was so friendly and kind. The guy at the kiosk was also amazing. Just a well-run ship all the way around. It’s great to see so many things recycled. I love this place!

Long story short it seems the prices are back to normal. I feel compelled to add my two cents on this, as I use this dump often and have been since before the prices were greatly inflated. As others have stated I saw this happen after a certain individual began working up front. My truck bed sure doesn't change size, but what used to be 12 and 20 dollar loads were now 30.. 40.. and one time even nearly 60. I began insisting on getting weighed and paying about 32 a load. I'm glad to report that as of recent, I have been met by a more familiar individual who has returned to charging me 16 and 20 per load, even adding up how many trash bags there are and how much they are each he reaches this conclusion. I am extremely happy I can afford to throw stuff away again!

I see there are a lot of bad reviews for Black Butte Transfer, mainly centered around a particular employee. I just wanted to say that I have always had a very good experience there , never been over charged ($3 a bag) and they took all my old paint cans to recycle )for free, also takes flattened card board to recycle . Electronics can be put on a palette and left for free for others. I am grateful to have Black Butte. I do wish our community had a good green waste location.

What a joke! First we had to wait for her to be done physically socializing with another (I'm guessing) employee. The old (seemingly strungout) woman at the window refuses to actually weigh the incoming loads. Instead she eyeballs everything charging more each time we came, even though we had less to dump. When I asked the reason, and asked to just be weighed, she argued with me. I wonder how much she pockets since there is no record of what is actually coming in when she refuses to weigh the loads. I really hope her management sees this and can rectify the situation.
