We took our 4 year old daughter to get her hearing checked. They made it so fun for her. My daughter thought it was a game the whole time and wasn't scared at all.

The gals were all really nice. The 2 gals who did the hearing test on my 3 y.o made it so quick, easy, and made it not scary for her to get into the "magic box" i believe is what they called it. They allowed me to be right there with her every second of the apt. .

Angela and her staff were very patient with our 2 year old who does not sit still. They were very informative on what they were going to do and tried to be as helpful as possible in trying to get him to cooperate with getting his hearing tested.

The staff was so great with my young son! We drove a long way for this appointment and if you would have asked him, he would have thought this was a play date or an adventure, not a doctors appointment. He had so much fun and they were just so sweet. I appreciate them for making that experience special for him.

Questions & Answers

How often should I get a hearing test?

Just like an annual physical, you should get regular hearing tests every 1 to 3 years. If you are exposed to loud noise frequently or work in a field where noise is common, you should err on the side of getting tested more frequently. If you notice any hearing loss, schedule a test immediately. Untreated hearing loss can lead to other health problems. It's simple and painless and there's really no reason not to do it.

Is the person who gives the hearing test a certified audiologist?

I am an Audiologist licensed by the state of California, and have ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association) Certification.
