One of the easiest firetower hikes. There are nearly zero rocks on the trail, it's a long incline up and then a return trip down. No views except from the tower, though the tower view is great! Trail is open all year and parking isn't a problem; road is plowed regularly. This is part of the ADK firetower challenge hikes so it's a popular place.

Really nice hike up to the firetower. Very few bugs, which was nice. Gorgeous views from the top of the tower.

Great short hike 20 minutes out of Saratoga springs. The trail is 1.3 miles up at the top you get amazing views from the fire tower. Definitely worth the trip.

Spruce Mountain is a mountain in the Kayaderosseras Range in the town of Corinth in Saratoga County, New York. The 2,005 foot summit is accessible via a 1.3-mile trail and is topped with a 73 foot fire tower affording a more than 120-mile panoramic view from the Adirondacks to the Catskills, and east to Vermont. The trail can be considered a moderate to difficult hike and leads hikers primarily through both old growth and recovering forests. Spruce Mountain is one of twenty-five mountains in the the Adirondack State Park that have fire towers atop them. The 73-foot fire tower restoration project was completed in September 2015 and is now open. The top of the tower offers amazing panoramic views of the southern Adirondacks, Hudson River, across and the Vermont border into the Green Mountains, and of southern Saratoga County.
