Target promises completed order ready for pick up within 2 hours! However, for the past couple of months, it has taken more than 8-12 hrs. When I call to ask why my order cant be ready in that time frame, or at least the same day when I place an order at 10am, I get the excuse that they are short staffed. Not to mention the lack of concern for the needs of pick up orders in the same day. The response has been "I can come inside and pick up my order myself from the shelves" if I need it the same day. Really?! If I wanted to do that, I wouldn't be using the pick up order option. Some customers cant walk well or are sick or just don't like to be in public, maybe in isolation or quarantine. Since this has been the "normal" excuse now for the past couple of months, I would think that Target would hire more help and try harder to commit to the Target promise of order completion within 2 hours, or at least in the same day. Target is a huge corporation and should have no issues hiring more help to accommodate the hours and dramatic increase in pick up orders as needed.

Target for me is close to home, so it's a large corner store.bHandy for forgotten items that you need without a major shop. And, like a handy corner shop it's a little expensive, but it is close and convenient. Always clean and neat and tidy. PLUS, if you need help there are people ready and willing to help. Not like one of the warehouse stores who shall remain nameless (Walmart) where you can shop for an hour and not see a customer service body to help. Then after chasing one down he/she will read the same instructions that you read, and then can't answer the question, because it isn't written on the box. I like to shop at Target for over the counter meds and bathroom stuff. Small appliances. Like I said, a corner/convenience store, where they'll almost always stock the item you need but with fewer choices. But I've found the staff to be better mannered, more helpful and happier.

I was looking on the ap for a printer that was in stock to compare prices. I live out of town and did not want to make a trip if you didn’t have what I needed. I found the printer and it said “online price” was $279, indicating to me that it was cheaper if ordered online for pickup. So that’s what I did. There were a few other things I needed and happened to see that in-store on the shelf the printer was $249! That was a little frustrating. And thank goodness I looked. But here’s the kicker - the person helping me had duped me into putting the refund on a gift card instead of my red card and therefore losing my 5% discount. I ended up still paying $280! It left me feeling pretty disgusted about the whole thing once I returned home and realized what happened. Bad form, Target. Bad form.

They had outstanding customer service!! The store is very well stocked and organized. The down fall is you go in the 2 or 3 things and come out with 20. 🎯
