Loved my time here. The lake and beach are beautiful. The campground and facilities are clean and well maintained.

As far as campgrounds go, it was pretty average. Nothing special. Nice view of the lake and beach area. The first night we stayed there was a water issue, but the problem was resolved quickly and efficiently. The bathrooms weren't pristine, but we wouldn't expect that from a campground. Staff were kind and helpful. The major downside was how noisy it is at night. We didn't sleep well at all due to vehicles driving up and down the loops, dogs barking, and people talking loudly at 3 am. However, there is a park ranger who you can ask to try to resolve the noise. Overall, probably wouldn't go again due to the negative night experience and lack of things to do in the area, but we had a decent time while there.

Needs updating. We camped here a week in July 2019. The water was off for two different days. Hot water was out one morning. These were because of unplanned issues and a plumber was called. Outhouses are the backup. Bathrooms are not close to campsites and those bathrooms have toilets and sinks. These bathrooms have plywood stalls that need to be replaced. There are showers near the camp entrance, many people we saw drove from their sites to the showers. Driving in the park one day, smelled a strong septic odor, despite having a/c on- saw a woman pull her shirt up over her mouth walking to the bathroom I was passing near the beach. This isn't the standard I'm used to at several of the NYS campgrounds my family has camped at. The park is pretty small and has some eyesores due to lack of space... Like a large pile of gravel, empty sites with picnic tables being worked on. The lake is okay. Small lake with a lot of activity on the weekends, less in the week. Swimming area is nice, beach is nice, life guard present. Changing areas at the beach don't have showers or bath facilities. Sites have nice fire pits, but bring a grill to BBQ over the fire, as grates are 4" apart. Good convenience store outside park, and lots of shopping close by in Gloversville.

Not if you're a camper at the campground but if you just want to come in and swim for the day there's a day use fee.
No at the campground, but there is less than 5 minutes away
