Love this place and so glad the state is now doing the permits to visit a couple of years I went there and it was so overcrowded with people which it never used to be like that it used to be such a nice place to go and relax I mean to say maybe 20 people were there you could swim and enjoy yourself but a couple years ago when I went there had to be at least 200 people there they had left garbage and it was just way too overcrowded they didn't take care of one of our most beautiful places to go visit and cool off during the summer heat that's why I am so grateful that they started making you purchase permits to go to the place so on Saturday the 23rd of July when we went there the water was very low because of our high heat and drought that we have been having but there was only I'm going to say maybe 20 people there in Blue Hole which is great still overwhelmingly nice the waterfalls were running but again not as full as the water table used to be enjoy yourself if you go and are able to get a permit to go look at this beautiful site but just remember whatever you bring in take out let's keep this place looking beautiful and Preserve its beauty

It truly was a wonderous wild forest. Though I can't say I've heard of any "tame" forest. The Peekamoose Blue Hole was a splendiferous site!

One of my favorite places on earth. I lived around here for a while and it was absolutely perfect. I wish it could stay as untouched forever. Has been getting really crowded over the years

Beautiful scenic area in the middle of the mountains. Great area for camping, hiking. There are rangers that patrol and the road can be very narrow and windy at parts so keep an eye out for foot traffic. There are endless waterfalls cascading through out

Not sure the the 5th wheel issue. We drove into Sundown during the winter with snow on the ground but saw no activity whatsoever.
