Small is massive. Sorry, "small" needs to be in quotes there... You *have* to get it in a cup because there isn't enough cone to hold on to as this top-heavy challenge is what they consider "small". I can only imagine what a large must be. They probably roll out a 55 gallon drum, pop the lid, and hand you a spoon.

Tastes pretty good, friendly staff, and excellent price for the serving size. However, despite the size, a small can't have two flavors. Also the only dry toppings are sprinkles and nuts.

My first summer has ice cream here and i keep coming back every couple weeks to try different flavors which they have. They have big parking, seats with umbrellas and good service

Great place for a good ice cream, they have a large property, so you can explore some of the trails in the back, or watch the animals. They do have problems with their ice cream sizes where you are unable to tell the difference from a kiddie, small, or large. Also if you want a small amount of ice cream ask for a mini as the small is slightly smaller than the large. The order is mini kiddie small large

They are open now for the 2018 season!
HINT: Great Brook Farm about 5-6 minutes down the road has great ice cream and lots of animals to see. Also, the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. Kimball's ice cream is a bit better, but Great Brook wind hands down on beauty, less crowds and animals.
Yes they take cash, credit or debit cards but you can only leave a tip in cash.
UPDATE: the sign is out! Opens April 4th, 2019 ::: The web site says they will reopen in April 2019. Typically it is when the Red Sox play the first home game at Fenway. Check the website in April!the
They typically close right after this weekend, but you might want to call them on Saturday.
The web site says Oct 14, 2019 is the last day they are open. "Our last day of operations this season will be Monday, Columbus Day, October 14th, 2019." Actually I was there yesterday myself. I heard them say October 15th. That was my initial answer but then I checked the website and it said October 14th. I guess I would trust the website, but it's odd that there seems to be several answers to the same question!
