Car Tow Dolly is a great company with honest owners and a demonstrated commitment to stand behind their product. I did experience some trouble with my dolly; however, Mr. Brown worked to resolve the matter to my satisfaction. Although I no longer own the dolly (recently went another direction), I recommend the product. I found it simple to use, loved the hydraulic surge brakes, and you can’t beat the ability to store it vertically.

We have owned two Car Tow Dolly's. We sold the first one to the buyers of the motorhome we owned at the time. The quality and ease of use of the dolly was outstanding! The price was also incredible. We used it for both long and short distance trips. We purchased our current dolly based on our experience and satisfaction with the first one we owned. The quality of our new dolly is once again outstanding. The minor assembly required was straight forward with clear instructions. We completed the assembly in less than an hour. We did have warranty situation regarding a piece of hardware which the company corrected the very same day we brought it to their attention. Customer service doesn't get any better than that! We are very satisfied with the company and would ihly recommend them and their products to anyone looking for an easy to use quality dolly, at a reasonable cost, backed by outstanding customer service.

I purchased the CARTOWDOLLY in 2019 and have been fulltime in an RV since then (31,000 miles and three years). The only items I've had to replace were tires, brake pads and one taillight. Recently I had to add brake fluid, but after adding a whole bottle over 3,000 miles time I knew something was wrong. Because this dolly is light and maneuverable, I stood it up to inspect the brake lines and saw I must have run over something while traveling as a spot in one of the metal brake lines was crushed and brake fluid was leaking at the T junction that goes to each wheel. I called Cartowdolly and was able to purchase replacement brake lines. Tim was the best person I could have worked with. He helped me troubleshoot and determine what I needed. He got the brake lines to me right away (a few days and across the country) and I was able to replace the lines and bleed the system myself (thanks to the great documentation that is posted on Cartowdolly's website). Tim was always available to help and very responsive. I know it takes a lot of people to run an organization like this, but Tim is the face of Cartowdolly to me and I couldn't be happier with the product and service this company provides.

I'm 77 y/o and I researched towing options for our Fiat 500 for several weeks. I settled on this dolly for several reasons. First was the fact that I was not required to do any wiring to my car as the lighting on the dolly handles the turn signals, brake lights and backup lights. Second was the warranty and thirdly was ease of assembly and that it can be stood on end for easy storage. I put it together in 3 hours, by myself, with frequent time outs for coffee. If you have basic tools you can put it together too. Additionally, I ordered the dolly on a Friday and I was delivered to me, at the RV Park, on the following Tuesday.

Our car tow dolly and all of its parts are legally permitted to be operated in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada. It's still smart to check the laws of the place where you will be traveling to make sure you are following them at all times when using the tow dolly. You can never be too careful when preparing for a vacation or cross-country trip to bring a newly-purchased classic car home. Avoiding accidents and tickets along the way makes for a much more enjoyable experience.
Very little maintenance is required to keep a car tow dolly running smoothly. The only items that typically require service on one of our dollies are the bearings, brakes, and seals. The service can be performed by you if you are so inclined, or it can be performed at just about any vehicle repair shop in your area as parts are readily available. Simply schedule a maintenance appointment at your favorite auto repair shop and inform them that you need to bring a car tow dolly in for service or replacement parts. The cost of replacement parts shouldn't be too high and the labor should only take a half-hour or so.

The warranty comes standard and lasts for six months. We offer additional coverage for three or five years for an extra $200 or $300. The warranty protects the dolly from damage incurred in an accident or other incident.
We do not make any proprietary parts for our car tow dolly. This means that you will be able to find these parts just about anywhere commercially, including at most auto parts stores. Getting stuck on the side of the road will not last hours since you won't have to order parts online. Yes, all of the dolly lights we install on our tow dollies are now LED. This includes the brake, turn, and running lights, as well as any replacement lights or additional lights you purchase from us. Yes, we sell tow dolly wheel straps for our tow dollies. These straps are completely adjustable for 13-inch to 20-inch tires on all makes and models. These straps will not last forever, as they are under a lot of stress, and will eventually need to be replaced. Tow dolly wheel straps are vital to securing the vehicle-in-tow to the car tow dolly. Be sure to check the straps during each break in your trip so that they can be tightened if needed.
Even though our tow dolly is the widest on the market, it is very easy to store in a shed, garage, or storage unit. Simply disconnect the dolly from the vehicle and push it into the building where it is going to be stored. Once inside, lift it upwards to create more storage space. The dolly can be stored upright against a wall, taking up minimal space. You simply need a 25-inch x 102-inch footprint for our tow dollies. The measurements for our tow dollies are as follows: 102 inches wide, 92 inches long, and 27 inches tall. The dolly will be able to stand on its own, but we still recommend securing it somehow to avoid accidents.
Along with dolly lights, a dolly ramp, and a car dolly winch, our car tow dollies come equipped with an emergency breakaway system. This system automatically applies the brakes on the dolly should it become disconnected from the towing vehicle.
