Last month, my friends and I enjoyed a private wine tasting at Hazlitt to celebrate a birthday. We had an excellent time! The owner and staff are entertaining and friendly. Get the Bramble Berry Wine Slushie; it's delicious (if you like your wine on the sweeter side!) Presented in a color-changing take-home cup, you also get a reusable metal straw with a tiny "Red Cat" and cat paws etching (too cute!). I purchased a bottle of the Bramble Berry wine to take home that unfortunately slipped through my paper bag and crashed loudly at my feet while I was enjoying that delicious slushie in the bar area after our tasting. The staff not only helped lessen the embarrassment by quickly removing the evidence, but also replaced the bottle in one fell swoop. Other things we loved ---> Koi fish in a pond by the bar and ample outdoor seating around multiple fire pits. There was even a rainbow that day! We all enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe. Thanks for being one of the highlights of our wine tour!

Great ambiance. Good wines. Very friendly and helpful staff. I know Hazlitt from their red cat, but as a fan of dry reds, red cat hasn't been a fave. I tried several of their dry whites and they were amazing. Definitely recommend.

Interesting selection for the tasting menu. The outdoor seating was great with fireplaces, live music, and the oasis cafe/restaurant serving food items. There were a lot of people but still a lot of place to sit. The tasting items I chose were all great and I only went by the descriptions written on the menu. They let you keep the menu to get the full bottles or for next time. The staff was also exceptionally nice to us, and provided good service.

Yes, we are currently offering wine flights. You get to choose 4 wines or ciders to try. Each flight glass is $2 or $3 depending on what you choose. We can accommodate groups of 6 or fewer and no reservations required. Also, our outdoor bar, the Oasis is open Friday-Sunday for wine by the glass, Cider Tree hard cider, wine slushies, local craft beer, snacks and more.

Hi Allen! At our winery, we do not require reservations. We can accommodate groups of 6 or fewer. If you have a group larger than 6, give us a call as we may have a private tasting option available, 607-546-9463. Our tastings are now flights. You choose 4 wines or ciders to try. Each flight glass is $2 or $3 depending what you choose to taste. We have an outdoor bar, the Oasis, to enjoy wine by the glass, wine slushies, Cider Tree hard cider, local craft beers, snacks and more. Each winery around the lake is doing it a bit different when it comes to requiring reservations and group sizes. An excellent place to start would be the Seneca Lake Wine Trail website: www.senecalakewine.com and visit the Current Offerings page. The wine trail consists of 30 wineries and then there are plenty more wineries along the way to visit as well. We look forward to your visit!
We currently have a wine called Red Cat Dark that was released a couple years ago. It is a sweet wine made from 100% Concord.

Hi Mary! Thanks so much for reaching out. We are currently offering wine/cider flights instead of the traditional wine tasting. A wine/cider flight includes 4 wines or ciders of your choice. Each flight glass is $2 or $3 depending on which wines or ciders you choose. You are required to purchase a food item with your flight and we have food starting at $1. We are taking groups of 6 or less and there are no reservations required. You can enjoy the flight inside at a bar if space permit or outside on our patio or picnic table area. Hi Martha! Yes, our winery is family friendly. We have non alcohol grape juice slushies, water, soda, juice and plenty of kid friendly snacks. Plus we have Wikki Stix that they can play with while you enjoy your flight.
