Nice beach area- $5/car. Water a little murky. Nice cabins and lodge facilities. Across the street, there is a nice creek walk (Barnes Creek) and several hiking trails. Boat launch available.

Onanda is a beautiful peaceful park. We love the cooler water, room to skip rocks, quiet space on the water and the trail in the uplands.

As other reviers write, an awesome plaxe to relax along the lake. Two sets of stairs lead down from the upland section of the park. My favorite location was the floating aluminum dock. Sit down as a boat passes by, and you'd think you were on a kiddie ride at the amusement park.

nice peaceful spot, free parking across the street up the curvy road. $1 fee to walk in. Chairs to relax and take in the refreshing breeze. If you go after rain fall, there could be nice little water falls going as well.

The uplands part of the park is home to 7 of the 15 cabins, consists of seventy-three acres of hillside including a two mile hiking path through pristine wilderness, pavilions with beautiful views of the lake, and is home to winter activities, like sledding and snow shoeing to those brave enough. Cross-country skiing might be possible in those areas if there is enough snow. The uplands provide some overflow parking for guests on the lakeside portion.
Yes, there are two small play grounds, one in the lower half of the park next to the tennis courts, and another in the upper half near the hiking trails.
