Nice after remodeling. Over crowded at times. Smoking and drinking are more likely to occur. Police presence less than before pandemic, therefore more unwelcome characters.

They did a great job redoing it a few years ago. Great place for kids. Adults as well. Basketball courts are great. Older adults work out in the morning. Plenty of benches. It's positioned great for maximum sun all day.

Good place for kids to play. Even or specially in the winter.

Questions & Answers

Any pull-up and parallel bars in the area for Workout training?? Anyone knows anything ?? Except going to gym, thx

The correct answer is "Yes Andrew!" There IS an extremely sturdy pull-up/dip station! ADDITIONALLY, the park offers a chest/back-press station, an elliptical machine for cardio, and a set of 46 inch parallel bars which are wheelchair accessible and offers options for rehab patients. They are all colocated on the 70th Street and New Utrecht side of the park. Please see my pictures taken after a light snow for visual proof. The manufacturer, "HealthBeat" recommends their equipment for ages 13+ and a minimum height of 56 inches. As always, minors should be supervised by an adult. Specific information can be found by a quick Google search of "HealthBeat Park Equipment." I will leave you with a bit of advice, if you can't find a surface to do a pullup on, you haven't looked hard enough! And anyone looking at you funny for cranking out some pullups is most likely envious of your physical strength! You never need a gym to build strength and endurance. Google "HIIT Exercises" Stay motivated!
