Greg was friendly and knowledgeable… he answered the phone right away when I called to find out if they had time to change my oil and how much it would be… they did have time around 3 that day and I made an appointment to come in at that time. I got there a little early and although they seemed somewhat busy they were able to start on my service right on time. The person that actually did my oil change (I can’t for the life of me remember his name) was also very friendly and knowledgeable and communicated a few things that I need to get done in the near future… I knew I needed tires and he confirmed that… I’ll definitely return to this location for any and all of my future car repairs and maintenance!

Fair and honest technicians. They got me in, in a timely manner, got to work on diagnostics, gave honest referrals when needed. It's not the easiest city to find a good mechanic. Solid people.

I took my car to get checked because my breaks were making noise. After the diagnostic check I was quoted over a thousand dollars for breaks and rotors and a sway link bar they said I need to replace . I said I’ll do the back because that’s all the noise I heard but changed my mind because the price didn’t sound right to me. (Took me no longer than 2 mins to think about that) The guy told me I would be charged to mail a part back because they were ‘halfway done’. I knew that was a lie because I was watching the guy the whole time he never even took a new part out. The guy at the front desk told me I would not get my car back until I pay even after I’m reading him their policies from online and the paper he gave me. Even after I told him I’m going to call the cops. (Because at that point I felt they weren’t living up to their policies and were keeping my car hostage) He was very rude and condescending. I had to go out to the mechanic to record and trick him by asking what he did so far In order for them to release my car. He told me he never took out a new part. So the guy at the front desk lied just to get my money. I wouldn’t trust this place. I went to another mechanic & spent less than half of what they were charging . My mechanic also told me there is nothing wrong with my sway link bar. If you’re looking for an honest mechanic go to the car Doc. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a female or a poc. But I would never recommend Midas on E Independence blvd. In Charlotte NC . The next morning I noticed a little slice in my front right tire also . So I guess they were mad . I know the slice wasn’t there prior to me bringing my car to them because I inspected my tires as soon as I heard that weird nose. I thought something might of been stuck in them. I also put air the day before so I would of noticed smh. Disappointed!

I called in a couple of weeks before to make sure they could do the exhaust work i wanted. Guy i talked to was very friendly and assured me they could do it for $160. I said awesome, then scheduled an appointment. Went in for my appointment and waited 20-30 mins for them to actually get started. Once they got it on the lift, some older fella there insisted i was incorrect about what i wanted done (even though I’ve researched my car and this modification extensively and knew what i was talking about). Then he said it wouldn’t make a difference when i know it would. From the beginning, he had a poor attitude and you could tell he didn’t want to do the work. After agreeing to do the work (at $60 OVER what they quoted me), he takes the saw and starts to cut the completely wrong piece of my exhaust. I stopped him before he did it, as i thought it was clear what i wanted done. Then he threw his hands up and said he can’t do it. So i just wasted an hour and a half of my Saturday morning for something I’ve been waiting on and excited for, for several weeks. I would not recommend this place for anything, as the customer service was par at best, and the attitude of the mechanics was terrible. They will argue and then give up before starting if it seems like it’s not an easy job (even when it is- if i had the tools and the lift id do it myself).
