Love this store.. I can always park and spaces leave room to open car doors. Help is friendly and I can easily find what I need. And though not the least $$ it is a lot less than the other store further down Beacon St.

Best bag o choco chip cookies. Even better is their oatmeal choco chip. You can get that plus a 1 liter of ice coffee for 8 bucks. Why spend 20+ at fufu coffee shops where you can hit the star mart for less and chill at the park with friends dog and frisbee.

Conveniently located between other larger grocery stores (at Porter Square and Basket Market to the East). Smaller selection than in other stores but enough to cover all your basic needs. Fair prices. Fewer organic products than even other Star Markets but many of the basics are there. Never crowded. It closes conveniently late. Easy access walking from both the South and Northern part of the railway thanks to a lower pass immediately next to it, and a Blue Bikes stop close by as well.

Conflicted between giving 3 or 4 stars. Dated stores with average freshness and selection. But that means it's never crowded and there is plenty of parking. The Shaws at Porter square is much better. Or go the other way for a small Whole Foods.
