Beautiful facility, hair-dresser is nice, cleaners are great, food is good. The value wasn’t there for us. It was the least expensive option we could find around and should have known something was fishy. I asked during leasing process about annual rent increase and they assured me verbally no major increases… incremental if anything. I would estimate that in 5 years my relative was staying there, the rent went up 9% annually! So eventually we (and many others) couldn’t afford it anymore and went through the very unfortunate circumstance of having to uproot relative AGAIN. The cost is a total bait and switch. Then after the move Birch Heights said my relative could have security deposit back but it’s been 3 months and still a “check in the mail” story. I don’t know if they are short on money and robbing peter to pay paul. The other big thing about value we didn’t realize is we were thinking this is worth it because of the food being included. Elderly people tend to eat lightly and my relative did not want to do a sit down restaurant everyday never mind 3 times per day. So at best they would go down once per day but they didn’t always want to and was forced to. Getting dressed, socializing – just to get a sandwich. They have no pick-up option to bring it back to their room. They charge 5 dollars to delivery from inside the building and my relative said it was frown upon to ask for it. So we ended up having to buy groceries all the time anyways. If your relative is still fairly independent and not super social – it would have been less expensive to do a meal service and a private cleaner in another complex that has similar amenities.

I was visiting a relative today and she shared with me that in the dining room the residents who are not vaccinated are segregated together so they don't infect the vaccinated individuals. Does this not violate heppa regulations? What if someone visits who is not vaccinated? Does the vaccine not work? This was the most ridiculous discriminatory practice I have heard of in a long time, for paying customers!!!!

The facilities are beautiful, and kept up very nicely. The place was a little pricey but we felt it was a safe environment for our mother, however the price went up every year. The food continued to go down hill, until it become intolerable. Spending extra money on food every week. We were told that the place was for independent living, yet the majority of people are using walkers or those motorized carts and age wise, are 80+. The wait for the one elevator at meal time is ridiculous. Needless to say our mother has moved out and is happily living on her own.

It is considered assisted living and yes you have to be pretty independent to live there
There is a monthly fee that ranges from approximately 2700-3500 dollars a month. It is an independent living facility. If interested call and ask for Jennifer as she is the admissions coordinator. I strongly suggest calling and setting up a tour
Prices vary but you can negotiate a little. Roughly $3600 for a 1bdrm and closer to $4000 for a 2bdrm. I'm not really that impressed 3the place.
