I typically don’t write reviews but this had to be said. Today was my first day and definitely last day working as an aide and let me say , this is the worst facility I have ever worked for. I came in through an agency. Charity , this isn’t about you or Virtuous Nurse. This is about AdviniaCare. I came in and they stopped me because I didn’t have a badge. I wasn’t given a badge nor was I trained or given an orientation prior. I’ve worked all over this place and this place beats it all. The nurses are extremely rude and have no sign of compassion towards their job or their patients. The patients room were extremely dirty. The maintenance ONLY kept up with the building and not the rooms. I was so annoyed. Also this place is very understaffed. They had 3 CNAs including myself and the work load would make anyone not want to come back. One of the nurses thought because I was younger , I wasn’t aware of anything. I’ve been working as an aide straight out of high school and I truly love doing this. This one of the reasons I stayed away from nursing homes and they proved me right. This place SHOULD be shut down because the poor people don’t deserve to be treated with such disrespect and rude staff. Every patient I saw today had an issue with the food. The food was cold and did not look like something anyone should be eating. One of the patients referred it as “dog food” I hope someone reads this and stay far far away from this place.

DUMP! My father was sent to this rehab by mistake. Lived with me for 2 years, healthiest 90 year old. They managed to kill him in 2 days. He wasn't being taken care of medically, physically or mentally. I was in the process of having him moved but he declined so quickly. Place is horrible. I wouldn't let them take care of a goldfish!!

My mom has been at Eastpointe for just over a year now and I think the care she gets there is excellent. She was living in assisted living before, but after a few falls and covid she wasn't able to return back there. I was terrified because it was such a difficult enough decision to keep her in a nursing home, and to top it off with not being allowed in during covid it was unbearable. But the aides and nurses always kept me in touch with her. I feel like a lot of nursing homes are the same and it's all about the staff and how you feel that your loved one is taken care of. I can truly say that my mom is getting so much more help being there than she was in the assisted living. Her hair always looks nice...she always smell great...her skin is moisturized and her nails look better than mine! It's so hard when your parent needs to be somewhere to get this extra help...but I can say with all my heart that all of the staff I have met (and there's been a lot) are compassionate souls.

I don't know where to begin regarding Eastpointe - this place is truly, truly a disgrace. I won't even give One star ( I had to give at least one star or I couldn't post this) - my mother has been in there since February and we were there everyday, everyday - stayed on top of the care, ask questions, told them what she needs, etc. Horrible, the social worker and the Nurse manager will look at you straight on and promise you how they will take care of our mother, and she will get the best care - they promised nothing! And the CNA's (there was maybe 2 that were good), they don't care! They don't care!!! The CNA's didn't even know or care that my mother was unable to walk - they don't read their charts, they don't look over meds, they don't care - I don't know how Eastpointe received their Accreditation, how this place hasn't even had a suspension, investigation! Its horrible - honestly, if my mother stayed there, she would not have survived. She'd get better care in an Animal Hospital, seriously. This angers me so much because these people have ZERO respect, compassion, patience with the elderly and its not right - they should not be in these kind of jobs if they can't have a little compassion and understanding - don't they have parents? Would they want their parents treated like this! If we could keep our mother home with us, we would. Please, please, anyone, anyone who is in need of a Rehab and/or long-term facility - do not go to Eastpointe - we gave them chance upon chance - and they totally neglected my mother. Please look at other places and don't decide on Eastpointe just for the convenience of the location. Its just unacceptable.
