I know this place has been around for a while but man was it just amazing from food to service. Everything was top notch. The lobster we got was amazing. We got clam chowder to share for the table to taste. Our waitress was the life of the party not only with our table but you could just tell how her energy made everyone’s night amazing at other tables. Food was super filling and the set up is very nice. I know their upstairs kitchen is closed and it’s a shame their menu has shrunken since covid but they’re doing amazing! This is a must if you’re in Boston - add it to your list now!

The oysters were fantastic. I wish I had just ordered a plate of those for lunch instead of the scrod or clam chowder. Ketchup and leftover horseradish helped make it 3 stars. The price was definitely a tourist trap. Go here for the ambiance and history, don't stay for anything but the oysters.

Just the history and the inside decor of the restaurant is an enough reason for a visit. Started with complimentary warm tasty corn bread. Clam chowder was also very good. Had the Fried oysters with fries and it was very fresh and tasty. Receive a free pot of gold souvenir for St.Patrick's Day. Server was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.

The oyster lovers of our group loved the oysters. I was dying for fried clams and they were so tender and amazing. If you go for a quick lunch from out of town before heading to the airport, you might split a couple things. Oh and the fish stew was so good! Very attentive server who shared the history of the restaurant and told us where to find the Kennedy booth and more.

I don’t personally work there but I would reach out the the restaurant. Or if you don’t have any luck. I’m going back there in October and I can always pick it up and send it to you.
Yes. A sharp set.
Yes, just tell the hostess and they will put a small ramp to go over a small step.
Thats not a question. The food generally is not spicy. The clam chowder is nice and creamy.
If your in the area walking or a taxi or uber are very easy for in and out. There are a couple of affordable parking garages near by
It will be open and the oysters I enjoyed last week were definitely delicious!
No need to make reservations.
Two cousins of the Greaves family owned the Washington St and the Canal St locations. We sold Union St to the current owners and urban renewal eventually did in those other locations. I have all the best original recipes... we're good
Usually open 7 days a week. But is closed Thanksgiving if that's what you're getting at.
It is. Just Google Union Oyster House
Clam chowder was amazing, can't say about the Rockefeller as I haven't had it. Have to give this place a try, it's the oldest restaurant in America.

They do serve haddock (which is a type of fish in the same family as cod and pollock). I don't have any idea what "hatic" is.
None that i saw.
I was there on a monday night and it took 30 minutes to get a table for two
Facing the Oyster House, there is a parking garage up and to the left(though it is kind of straight on). It is above a store.
Yes, the bar is open on Thanksgiving Day.
