I stayed at the Slide Mountain Forest House for my daughter's wedding weekend. Everything there was neat and clean. Breakfast was offered. For later meals their restaurant has been closed due to staffing issues related to Covid. But the food was good, well prepared, right temperature, and came fairly quickly. They had a lot on their menu that I could have chosen, which is different than many bed and breakfast inns. Both days the server was pleasant and accommodating. Check in and check out were both uncomplicated. The owner/manager was always available when needed. The price was competitive with other area inns in the Catskills. We chose it due to it being more reasonable in pricing and that it was close to the wedding location, Full Moon Resort. It was a lot less expensive than Full Moon. I would recommend it as a good place to stay and use as a bade for traveling around the area if you are self sufficient and require no frills. I would stay there again

If you, like us, appreciate Old World charm, this is the place for you. We just spent the weekend here and couldn’t be happier. In fact, we just got home and are already checking our calendars to see when we can go again. This is a family endeavor, in the true innkeeper tradition, passed down through generations. It is clear that they work long hard hours to ensure that their guests want for nothing. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the family and staff are warm and friendly, the amenities are endless, and the property available to guests is both expansive and wonderfully maintained. And being surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains in the U.S. and within a few miles of the best hiking NY has to offer is the icing on the cake. Whether you want to hit the trails like us and enjoy a cocktail and a night of music in their pub, or swim in the pool, play tennis, walk about the ponds, etc., like other quests, you won’t be disappointed.

I loved my stay here. Ralph is such a great host. Amazing cook, hospitable, knowledgeable and is always checking in to see if you're enjoying your stay. Thank you Ralph and Danielle for such an awesome stay. Big shout out to Nelson for working so hard as well ! Def take the hike located behind the main house. Easy and the reward at the top is breathtaking.
