My Sears repairs are always spectacular but this time it was out sourced to a company called OCEAN. It took One month to fix a simple lever on my icemaker! changed appointments without authorization, showed up knowing the issue but did not have the part, did not call when the part came in, lost the part, etc etc.

Sears was great. My dryer switch stopped working. They sent a repairman out within two days and he had the repair diagnosed and made quickly but put the dryer through some cycles to insure all was working properly. He was courteous, immaculate and professional.

I have been a loyal customer of Sears for the last 40 years. I've purchased multiple goods and appliances over the years for many of my homes. Most recently I called to have a dishwasher that I purchased from Sears repaired, and I was charged just over $477 with only a 3 month warranty. The full disclosure of this information was not given to me prior to the repair. The technician should have never fixed the dishwasher knowing that the repair rate would be so high for an old dishwasher. For that price I could have purchased a brand new dishwasher from them with a year warranty. Instead I got ripped off to a replace a part in an old dishwasher. When I called customer service to report the incident, I was placed on hold for over an hour, and when they finally came to the phone I was only offered a $60 credit. The bottom line is that I was severely overcharged, and the customer service I received was very poor. I will never buy anything from Sears again after this experience, and I cancelled both my credit cards that I've had with them for many years, because this is no way to do business.

This has been the most traumatic experience with a repair ever. Complete and total dissatisfaction. I have been trying to have the repair resolved for weeks now to no avail. It started with the technician arriving at my home and instead of paying attention to the make and model of the refrigerator that Sears apparently doesn't repair (Daewoo, my refrigerator was listed as Frigidaire in the system) he was busy seeking me the Sears home warranty plan. I purchased it because he said it was more cost effective and that I could use the coverage for the repair that he was doing. He suggested that I call to cancel the previous plan on the refrigerator and that it would be no issue in doing so and receiving a full refund of the $317.00. I was on hold for over an hour trying to cancel which is common regardless of what day and time you call to cancel the repair it is an hour or more wait ironically a stark contrast to the 5 minute wait when enrolling. After finally getting through I was informed that I couldn't be issued a full refund because the technician coded the repair under the refrigerator's service plan. I then contacted the technician to inquire he told me that he would confer with his supervisor and get back to me in a few days. After about a week I contacted the technician again about the service notes in order to be refunded for the service plan to which he advised me that this was not possible. So I am double covered for this one appliance which still equates to no coverage because the refrigerator still is not working and making loud noises as before. A second service call and appointment was made. This time the technician diligently noted that my refrigerator is not covered by Sears and therefore could not compete the service. He directed us to contact the service department to inform them and cancel service. I attempted to do so the same day of service to no avail this time after being on hold for over 2 hours. I was informed that I am not entitled to a refund because the service technician did attempt to fix it on the first visit. I currently do not have a working refrigerator or a refund of my service plan. How is this ethical if the error was on the technician who attempted to repair an appliance that he should not have. If I could give negative stars I would. Despicable service!!!!
