Get. Their. Cheese. Danish. A friend of ours had a trip down to Bloomington and at the end of their trip - they said the cheese Danish HERE was the best thing they ate. We came and had to try for ourselves (after also spending 5 days in Bloomington). We agreed whole heartedly that this cheese Danish is absolutely amazing in all regards. It is moist and creamy but also the dough is more like croissant dough, very flaky and buttery.

Everything was delicious! I had the small portion of the open faced turkey sandwich. It was perfect for me but they do offer a larger portion for heartier appetites. My advice is to get there early because they get very busy. Even if you have to wait, it's well worth it. I always go here at least once on my visit to Nashville, IN.

Always great food. Onion soup was the bomb and we always had the pork chop and a red fish special. Yummy in my tummy 😍😍

I have been coming to this restaurant for years prior to this most recent visit. I always remembered this restaurant being a great experience, but not this time. First, the wait is long and you can see people in a line out the door (fall season I get it). Second, the staff demonstrated poor customer service skills (that includes the owner who sits at the front counter counting money the whole time). Third, the food was sub par at best. I ordered a 1/3 pound burger and I ended up getting a baby-size burger slider (picture below). I finished my burger in two bites, and then scavenged my family’s plates for extra food. The prices were high as well, but that’s what you can do when you’re one of the only restaurants in town. I don’t have all bad things to say, but some good things too. First, the interior is very comforting and the outside is pleasing too. Second, the operation hours are great for people who eat later. I will attempt to eat at this restaurant again in the future. Hopefully they will have improved!
