Tried to stay at the Wayside Cottage and upon entering found that it was NOT as advertised by the photographs on the website. Outdoor furniture was weathered and broken, making it unusable. On the weathered deck we opened the hot tub to find that it was green and cloudy and upon calling to inform them of this we were (rudely) told that no one had been out to service our rental that day and when they finally sent out someone to fix the hot tub, we were told it would take 4-5 hours before the hot tub would be done being cleaned (putting them at finishing up around 9-10pm). Inside, there was chipped paint on the walls, the cabinets were sticky and dirty, there was a huge water stain on the ceiling above the front door, the living room furniture was stained and appeared dirty, and the curtains were stained, torn, and knotted to where they could not be opened. Upon voicing our concerns of the cottage and that what we were seeing in no way matched the pictures on their website, we were met with combative, rude customer service. Ultimately we decided to find a cabin through another rental company that took us in at the very last minute and got out of this disgusting cottage within hours of arriving. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would—do not rent through Moondance Rentals, and do not trust their advertised photographs. We were denied a refund from Moondance even though we did not stay a single night, stating that “not liking the place is not a reason to refund”—I believe false advertising is reason enough to issue a refund. This is a horrible rental company. **edit to address the company’s below reply—when we called to bring up our concerns while we were at the cottage we were told “we have a specific budget to work with and we cannot update unless the owner allows it” and we were told “this is the bottom of our rentals, what did you expect for the price you paid?” We were never offered to be moved elsewhere nor any other solution. After our rental time we received a text and email that said “Please leave a 5 star review and if you cannot please call us with your concerns”. We called and let them know we would not be leaving a 5 star review and asked if they would like to hear our concerns and were told “that is an automated message that goes out, we don’t care to hear what was wrong, just leave a review if you choose.”

1 sweet retreat is a beautiful place, we stayed 2/5 to 2/7 The home has everything you could possibly need from razors to body wash, etc in case you forget anything your trip will not be interupted. I loved staying at the Bluemoin with my husband for 2 nights. We loved all the antique decorations to make the cabin cozy. The hot tub was nice. But I was in love with the big old bath tub. Now I have to remodel my bathroom. Everything was easy and I don't need anything, it was all there. Thanks again! Eric was my host. Awesome thanks.Thank you so much Nina! We enjoyed staying at the Lemon Ridge cabin! It was roomy. Beautiful and cozy! We loved the large covered porch. Well supplied. Yes, we have many pet-friendly properties. We do charge a $75+tax pet fee that is for the length of your stay, not per night.
