We brought our 2 year old son to Wooden Toy to let him pick out a toy to reward him after a hair cut. He was still in a little bit of a frenzy after his hair cut but he was excited for a new toy. Until my husband heard the lady behind the register say to another client in a rude way, “Wow, what a frustrated kid!” So we walked out without buying a thing. Guess I won’t be doing any Christmas shopping there! If you don’t like kids don’t have a toy store!

I love this place! Been shopping here for years. It's quiet, clean, organized. The staff is generally very helpful. My favorite part is, you won't catch kids running around throwing toys and knocking you over with no parents in site. In fact I don't think kids are allowed in without a grownup present. Kids are allowed to play though, there is actually a little room where they can explore some of the toys. All of the toys are carefully picked based on age, awards, trends. They even wrap the toys for you if you need to run to a kid party. Join their mailing list, you'll get 20% off, not sure if it's one item? Or whole transaction. If you are in the Wethersfield area, this place is a must!
