I just call it like I see it and I honestly I don’t know why this place is so highly rated. First, we asked for a sample and there was hair on the spoon… first sign we should have left. We then order two scoop sundaes and it was more like one scoop and they only cover half the cup with whip cream and hot fudge. Ice cream flavors were inventive and sounded good but turned out to be ok. Much better ice cream places close by.

We are on a three plus year trip through the US. We currently use Arethusa Dairy in Bantam CT as our gold standard for ice cream. If you are in the area and have a love for ice cream you need to go there. No kidding. We ordered Melt's bourbon maple with each of us having a second flavor on a cone and in a cup. This flavor just drooped as a melted pool on the other flavors. And the promise of either a maple or a bourbon flavor? None. When we asked the staff we were told that, "it just does that. It melts." At least there is truth in advertising (Melt). And the other flavors we tasted? Hardly noteworthy. The serving size? Maybe they want us all to be on a diet. Bottom tier of our ice cream adventures, now across 44 states. Two stars for nice, corporate servers, weighing out each scoop.

The salted caramel was very good! The pricing is a bit strange: $4/one scoop, $5/two scoops. Why wouldn't you want to get a second scoop for one more dollar? The seating and tables outside need more frequent cleaning!
