Brought my daughters mother over to buy a few things for her house. It was busy and alot of self checkouts. One had a sign close but register said opened. I asked a manager if it was able to be used and he said yes that fine. Unfortantly scanning 1 item it said needs assistance. Waited and the woman watching others scan an employee came over and said your not suppose to use this one. I told her we asked and was told by a manager it was ok. She replied sure you did. Then went to another register to fix there problem without fixing ours. I stood infront of her and said are you going to do your job and fix this or just be rude give attitude and skip by again. She fixed i said thank you and asked for manger she said you found him before you can or go to desk and walked away. I calmed myself finished ringing everything up. Roughly 186 dollars worth of food. As i left i said if you hate your job quit cause you have no idea about customer service and manners. I skipped the manager and the desk. Tired and did not want to further anger myself. I just never go there or stop and shop again. Usually find better deals at shaws and market basket anyways. If i was given a gift card for stop and shop i give it to someone in need. Not gonna give them another dollar of mine

Skip! Run! Do not go! This Stop & Shop did a major remodel -- it doesn't matter a bit if items are regularly unstocked, prices went way up, and, most importantly, the checkout times are TERRIBLE! Yes, there is a labor shortage. Trader Joe's and Fresh Market across the street don't have this problem bc they pay well. Stop & Shop workers deserve the same, Customers deserve more than two checkout aisles open. Even the self checkout is 8-10 deep. A remodel sans customer service.

Terrible , I've been shopping at this location for years but wont be much longer, they've remodeled and haven't restocked their aisles in months, I understand a pandemic and gas shortages, but C'mon, this place takes it to the limit. And to boot, there's no registers open, only self checkout, they would prefer using machines than giving people a job! There are no managers or associates any where in sight to help customers, thankfully its a great community and the customers help each other!
