One of my most favorite places to visit in the entire US. It is such a wonder of nature! Pictures and videos don’t do this place justice— one has to experience the sheer beauty and grandeur to truly appreciate it. I prefer the US side a lot more than the Canada side. The US side felt more like a park where they have tried to preserve the nature (trails to walk right up to the falls, places to sit in the park, birds and squirrels running around, etc.). Canada side appears to be a lot more commercialized. There are a lot of tours and activities available. Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds are highly recommended and are very reasonably priced. I would recommend getting a hotel as close to the Falls as possible so you can walk to the park instead of driving. Night views are fantastic and it’s really nice to spend time in the park after sunset. Fireworks were OK, the light show was more interesting.

Very fun and informative park especially if you are visiting for the first time. It is different and a very pretty sight! There are some fun things to do as well. When we visited there weren’t many people. The walk is very peaceful and scenic around the park. Definitely recommend visiting!

Great experience and enjoyable national park. Taking advantage of the winter season and it’s low occupancy, we dared to adventure the Niagara Falls. This was an outstanding visit and we got to enjoy a one on one type of tour with park staff down to the cave of winds (a must). The paid fee for this includes a detailed explanation of the Fall’s construction process and the Tesla discovery and implementation process of AC generation (fully recommended. It was a fairly cold 🥶 season but with proper clothes you should be ok even with walking around the open areas. The park is very well mapped and I advise stopping by the visitors center to get an updated map and walking indications to get to know the park better. Be aware on that during winter season, some deck and boat attractions are closed, including Lune island but waiting time are very much non-existing, in contrast of summer, when lines can take up to 4hours to complete.

I went to Niagara falls in 2020 both winter and summer, This is one of the most amazing experiences in New York. The state park was clean and well maintained, and there are plenty of things to see and do in addition to marvelling at one of the wonders of the world. It sure is a natural wonder that is not to be missed! Nature really is mind blowing specially when you hear the sound of gallons of water going through rapids which such strength every second! We loved it and sure soaked in the beautiful scenery and the views of those gorgeous falls! At night time, there is a light show that goes on from 8pm to 2am. You see lights of different colors reflected into the Horseshoe Falls and these are seen by one of the sections close to the Cave of the Winds. You will love it and sure enjoy the experience! The Observation Tower is on the main area close to the town. If you stay in any If the hotels that are close by, the walk is about 8 to 10 min. Parking at the park is $10 (weekday) or $15 (Friday and weekends) in any of the 4 lots. There is a trolley that you can purchase tickets ($3) to take you from the island to the observation tower. Good option if you don't want to be walking around all day. The Observation Tower costs $1.25 and you can see both the Horseshoe Falls and American Falls. The Maid of the Mist boat trip and the Cave of the Winds are extra and you can do them separately or in a package. We saw people getting soaked, so be prepared to be wet! This is one of the other best experiences I had in the USA. see the beautiful Niagra Falls up close and personal. We were so blessed to be able to get the last boat tour of 2020. We were not aware of their schedules. So we were happy we went there at the nick of time. We stayed there until night time. We had a lot of pictures taken. Niagara Falls was powerfully beautiful. It was mesmerizing.

Yes! We went Friday, park lot was full and had to park at 1 Niagara which was tough becuase it's a small packed lot and I drove a Silverado. Masks were hit or miss, granted you were out doors, most people if they were close to people, had masks. Maid of the Mist was fun, Observation Deck was closed. Good social distancing in line (as long as people respected it). On the boat, it was not full and you had space. There are social distancing markers on the rails but nowhere else but people respected being distant from others.
It's a pet-friendly park, so you can share the experience with your furry friend.Pets are permitted along the green space and footpaths at Niagara Falls State Park, including within view of the falls. ... Only household pets may travel toNiagara Falls State Park.
Parking is free.. getting into the park to see the falls is free...only pay for rides
