FOTAS is a wonderful shelter and organization. They put on fundraisers like dog washing (I believe there is actually one tomorrow), as well as spay and neuter clinics. I got my pup from here 10 years ago, but still visit all the time to drop off donations. The staff are sweet and I think the Kitty Korner outside is just so cute!

Unfortunately help is tough everywhere these days, but the dogs and cleanliness was amazing.

We were getting both our girls (sweet dogs) chipped. They were very orgonized and got thru the process with no problems. They dud 60 cats befire we even got there at 10:15. WOW

This shelter is staffed by very kind people who work hard to find homes for the cats and dogs! They have dedicated, caring volunteers who spend time with the animals. FOTAS adoptions/visits are by appointment only during the pandemic. The screening process assures a good match and a loving home for the pets in their care. I've adopted two angels there. They would love to help you find your new best friend!

We will certainly accept any unopened bottles of prescription medications for animals. We will then consult with a veterinarian before deciding whether to use them. Thank you for thinking of us.
No, since COVID, we are only accepting dogs and cats.
Yes, Friends of the Animal Shelter is the volunteer organization that supports the Jackson County Animal Shelter. Cats can be adopted at the Shelter.
