Teacher Mom
came here a few weeks ago with all documentation, and my 16 month old child. I filled out the paperwork. I was given a pink sheet of paper and instructed to come on Saturday December 15th between 1 and 3pm. I moved into a new apartment home more conducive to raising a toddler, in a good neighborhood and cheaper including all utilites- I paid first, and last and fullfilled requirements legally. I moved 5 days ago. I am set behind $300 this month in doing so. I am working on making things within financial budget as a single parent and this move is set to help in that aspect- a problem solved. With the move- the pink paper from Christmas Toy Shop was lost. I called at 2pm to inquire as to my options. I was told to come into the front door if I lost my paper and fill out a new one (instead of pull my car around back to receive toys immediately). After this instruction on the phone, I informed the nice woman, that I am short money and would be paying to uber to the toy shop so it was imperative I am doing things correctly and not risking money for Christmas toys for my child when I am sliced so thin this month. She said as long as I come by 3 pm it would be no problem. I reassured her I would (because I am thankful for the opportunity). In a compling fashion, I changed my childs diaper, ordered the uber, loaded childs carseat in uber and left ASAP. I arrived with my child and started filling out the pink paper as instructed. A heavier woman about 70 years old, short gray hair.. Lyn or Dyan...some name with a y in the middle met me with contempt, refusal, and hostility. I filled her in (story above). She said , "Well you didnt talk to me and I'm the manager." She seemed argumentitive and combative. I told her I could show her my call logs and the trouble I went through... I told her we were told to come this day between 1 and 3 and although Im filling out a second paper now- it was only as I was instructed to do this on the phone 30 minutes ago. She said she "didnt care it wasnt her on the phone. I tisked and said, "no compassion, Merry Christmas" while walking out. She told me ,"Well you're a poor mother and need to be more responsible." I said, "disgusting" and left the sshop
