Ordered for the first time and the food was EXCELLENT. It arrived (via Uber Eats) more quickly than promised, portion sizes were great, the carnitas sandwich was on freshly made bread and as large as my forearm. Cannot wait to explore the menu more. Highly recommend!

What a complete and utter disappointment. We really enjoy trying local establishments and supporting small businesses. If I could post a negative star, I would. We arrived at 6pm and there was only one other couple at a table. We ordered nachos with steak as an appetizer and placed the order for our meals at the same time. About 45 minutes later, the server brought the plate of nachos out and warned that the plate was hot. At least the plate was hot because the nachos were not. Less than 3 minutes later the server brought out our meals. The plated presentation looked very good and that’s about where anything close to good ended with this experience. My meal (the Enchiladas Bandera) was cold. The other meal (the Bistec con Enchiladas - Steak & Enchiladas) was served on a hot skillet which kept it hot. The steak was mostly fat and gristle and had no flavor. The enchilada sauce barely had a hint of flavor. I sent my meal back (the Enchiladas Bandera). I was offered a replacement and declined because didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes. As we sat at the table we could hear the server apologizing for the delay to another table that came in after us. Apparently the slow, disorganized service was normal for this night. I truly feel bad for any other customers who visit this restaurant tonight. The check arrived and the meal that I sent back was still on the bill. It seemed as though there wasn’t any experienced front of house staff. After the staff deliberated about how to fix it we were presented with an adjusted check.

I really truly hate writing negative reviews (check my review history if you're skeptical), but I was deeply disappointed by El Manantial, so here it is: 1. There is active construction inside during business hours. I came to grab lunch and the noise was deafening. I should have walked out then and there but I decided to give them a chance because my taco craving was off the charts. 2. The bathroom is kind of unsettling, not filthy but definitely grungy. 3. They are charging prices that are 25% higher than they have listed on the menu with no warning. When I got my receipt and pointed out to the girl who was working that I was being charged significantly more than what was listed on the menu she gave me she kind of just shrugged. When I asked if she thought they should update the menu to reflect the new pricing she just casually said "probably." Not great customer service there. I understand pricing increases but at least give guests a heads up in advance. 4. The food was mediocre. I had a tinga taco, a chorizo, and a lengua as well as a tres leches cake. All edible, but I wasn't happy about eating any of it. The salsa I was given for the tacos was just vaguely tomatoish and had no spice, the meats were on the chewy side, and the tortilla had a bit of an odd texture. The tres leches was just meh. Nothing was disgusting, but rather just underwhelming. All in all, can't recommend it. Don't plan on going back, and wish I hadn't spent the money.

Good
Yes and they do karaoke on Friday and Sunday nights. Be patient on the food, all fresh made, takes long but worth it.
