Emily and the rest of the people in there are really friendly and very knowledgeable. They were really helpful when I needed duplicate title for my vehicle. I went to havertown auto tags to register my vehicle. I had some complications with the paperwork due to negligence of the dealer I went to and Emily was super helpful at getting it all straightened out! Incredible service that exceeded my expectations! We had a title transfer done by them in 2011 and looked it over to sell this year, and there was a severe glitch in the mileage listed, (221,000 instead of 22,100). Emily immediately made me feel at ease that she would make sure this was corrected quickly and easily. She kept us informed at every turn during the three weeks it took to send the info into Harrisburg and low and behold, the state admitted to making the error ( wild right?)and refunded our money. Give them a call they are the nicest people. If they can't do it they will help you to know who can.
I just did this. If you don't have the title, you will fill out a form and they will submit it to your loan department who holds the title, that can take two or three weeks before they receive it back. In the meantime be getting your car insurance. I used NJM ( New Jersey Manufacturing) online. Great rates, $67 a month for full coverage when other places wanted to charge me $168. I also had several speeding tickets they over looked. You'll also need to be getting your PA Driver license. (Note PA DMV mostly just handles the DL and contracts out the registration stuff. ) In a few weeks when the agency calls you and says they received your title, take your PA license and your insurance card into them and they will issue you a registration but youll have 10 days to go get an inspection done. There are two . This should cost about $28 for each one. I used Ramsey rated #1 and lots of awards. If you pass, it will be inputed into a computer system and then you're all set to be on the road
