We paid 1900 at this place but it didn’t get rid of the problem. My dog had an infection in his stomach and was given only 250 mg of antibiotics and another medication. The customer service here is below the standard you’re paying for and do is the overall cleanness of the place. No follow up, and even when I brought him back jn I waited for over a hour and no one was even in there so I left. I felt this place has a monopoly because it’s 24 hours. They treat my dog but I don’t feel they did their due diligence for almost 2000. They even put in the doctors report notes that we said we’re on a financial budget. There are other qualified vets to take your animal to but when you need urgent care they are in a position to take advantage of the situation. I give them two stars because their prices don’t match the service. Thankfully my dog did live, and they prescribed something but that was it.

Friendship Works Miracles! Dr. Kunder in dermatology accepted us into their practice on short notice (after Friendship's ER doctor recommended us), diagnosed my pitty's chronic skin condition, suggested a new medication regimen, and I'm seeing wonderful results. My pup's paws haven't looked this good in years! From the depths of my heart, I appreciate all of the effort and attention they put into helping us.

Be AWARE! Hispanics are NOT welcome at the Friendship Hospital For Animals. On Saturday morning, we took our nine-year-old Yorkie to Diva Dogs Grooming on MacArthur Blvd, and we picked her up at around noon with a sore eye and a scratched leg. They probably hurt her with the scissors or clippers, but they said it could have been the shampoo or the hair dryer. She slept all afternoon while we went out for dinner, but when we returned, she had her right eye closed and swollen. Noticeable, she was in pain. So we called the Friendship Hospital For Animals, and they told us to take her as soon as possible. We wasted no time and went quickly. That was about 11:30 pm on Saturday. Three hours later, we had to ask what was going on, and the receptionist told us the vet had not been able to see her yet because she wasn't badly hurt, and they had to prioritize other pets with more serious problems. The receptionist added that she was resting in one of the rooms and that we could go home and wait to be called within a few more hours or keep waiting there. We went home to pick up my wife's coat and returned within an hour. At around 5:00 am, they had not seen our dog yet, and we were still waiting, looking at several people coming in and out with their pets. They saw many pets, including four dogs who had eaten chocolate. They came in and out within one hour, and three were pretty playful. Before 6:00 am, a gentleman complained about waiting five hours. He came a bit after us with his dog, who had a skin rash and was also very uncomfortable. He had an appointment for Thursday, but looking at his dog suffering from itchy skin, he brought him in. The receptionist then spoke with the vet and recommended some shampoo and cream, leaving the hospital at around 6:00 am. At the same time, a Hispanic woman came with her dog dehydrated from vomiting and diarrhea, probably with gastroenteritis. Her puppy was less than a year. The receptionist told her that she would have to wait about seven hours before a vet could see her dog. Without even having anyone taking the puppy's vitals, the receptionist told the woman that her dog wasn't in bad shape and tried to book her an appointment for Tuesday, even though the woman said she had come from far away. Her dog has been truly sick all night long. The woman was upset, and so was I. Fortunately, a technician came out and took the puppy for vitals. So, at around 6:30 am, I had to complain again for waiting three more hours after she had told us a vet was about to see our dog. That was no coincidence how they mistreated us there. If you are Hispanic and your pet needs urgent care, avoid the Friendship Hospital for Animals and try another place with more professionalism and people skills. There is one 24/7 on 23rd and M street NW who won't discriminate for your accent.

I took my dog , Mariah, in for an emergency in the middle of the night this week. I was really impressed with the staff and the care they provided for my dog. Everyone seemed to genuinely care and they were very sweet to her and to me. I would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Asher Feldman who saw her on ER and to Dr. Allison Haley and her neurology team for taking care of her the following day!

Hi Mr. Sullivan - please have the human on Dodger's account give us a call to confirm his record. Dodger Sullivan is a popular name :)
The cost for boarding was $20 a day. The price is much more reasonable than the other ones that we looked into.
Friendship's free parking lot is located under their building. This is accessed via the alley that's to the left of the front door if facing it from the outside. There are tenish spaces available. Those spaces are often polluted by staff and vendor vehicles. Metered city parking is fairly easy to come by on Brandywine St.
They hold for the service to pick up.

As a professional non-veterinarian may I suggest taking your dog to a veterinarian?
