I'm trying to think of where to start with this review. There was just so much. So I'll just start by saying, this is a wonderful park to bring the kiddos out to have parties. It was very clean, including the restrooms and there were several pavilions with barbecue pits. Everywhere you go has access to the lake with stunning views. Plus they offer canoe rentals if you want to venture out into the water. If you have your own boat, they have boat ramps for you to bring your own vessels out on the water. There's also several great spots for fishing. Of course be careful of the wildlife, snakes and gators. My favorite thing about this park is the hiking trails! There's an area with these massive trees on hills. It's so cool! It's really fun for the kids to climb through the maze of roots and look out into the water. I personally think it's the best spot in the entire park. Lastly, there's a lookout point that's about 4 or 5 stories y'all, that you can walk up to get an aerial view of the lake. Very pretty! This park is definitely one I would recommend. Oh and it's only $2/car to enter.

Nice trails, clean camp site, and clean bathrooms. The showers had HOT water enough for everyone to shower not like another campsite that only one person took a shower then we had to wait for the water to get hot.

You must see it to belive a real nature the trees are growing on air barely touching the Earth the reason is because it's on little hilltops and the rain washed away the dirt around the stem so all the routes arw exposed and looks like is standing on air I don't think anything like that in any place on this planet, Plus the grounds surrounded with water you can kayak or watch the alligators, have picnic tables, volleyballs ,golf discs baskets to play, a lot of activities in this Park you could enjoy all day

HUGE park with lots of space for exploring. The Dunes (on Sacred Hills Dr) are big hiking & climbing fun for the adventurous.

It's beautiful park with a lake. Lots of signs about alligators and no swimming
Instead of turn left to the trees/play ground. make a right it's at the end of the road

Some my butt. Better take another count. Dogs running lose. And amazing the amount of fleas. Yes fleas. Way more fleas than mosquito s. People running the park leave at 5/6 and the beer comes out every where. Human waste is still being dumped behind some tent sites.
There's a dock, to the left of the boat ramp. Fished there a week ago and no one was catching from the dock.
From the swfwmd website: In 1972, under agreement with the District, Hillsborough County developed this site as one of its largest regional parks. Originally known as the Pleasant Grove Reservoir Park, the property was renamed the Edward Medard Park and Reservoir in 1977 to honor a District Governing Board member.
Oak for sure and the roots are exposed making for some wild scenery
Yes - but there are guidelines and limits. Visit the FWC website for specifics....
Yes, there's a store on the corner of Hwy 60 and Turkey Creek that sells worms.

Yes.. there are handicap accessible bathroom/shower facilities in the campground area for campers. However, there is little air circulation and its quite miserable unless you wait until the middle of the night.
