This place is a scam, they're not there to help anyone. The only thing they are concerned about is getting their $7.50 per night. If you have any form of disability they won't even allow you to stay even if you are taking the medication prescribed by a doctor. This place is not a ministry but a greedy business. A wolf in sheep's clothing if you will.

Stayed at the woman center for a year if you black family with kids just know there racist judgements they don't give you all the donations thats donated they would sell it to them thrief store first before giving it to the ppl there and they make you work for them like a slave just fryour kid to stay there I wouldn't recommend this shelter to no woman with kids.

Lighthouse is a mens shelter. They have a shelter for battered women. I am not sure if they accept women and children. Maybe try salvation army. Hope you find the help you need.
Yes there's a shelter for women that helps you with life skills.. Communication skills.. There are many woman that have came /and overcome poverty.. Addiction. Decency.. Abusive relationships..& also Spiritual poverty! Come to the center ..come see what Love is..

I am asking about the program. I submitted an application yesterday, but bc it’s a weekend I haven’t heard back. I’m in a bad spot, just recently homeless and I have a 2 yr old. I’m scared to death they are going to tell me there’s a waiting list.
