Good local NON-PROFIT charity to work with, whether you're shopping thrift stores or have applied for assistance. Either way they help the community so please donate to them if you have gently used furniture and decor in good condition or clean current clothing that people may need.

the directors of this place Alexandrea Jones and Kathy Baldwin are both shady! They are the only ones here who have money in their pockets as one of our staff member's put it "we can barely afford to pay our staff". I use to donate my time volunteering and would bring household items to this "charity" these "ladies" are all about profits for themselves!

These folks were supposed to call before coming out; they did not. They were supposed to take numerous boxes of various household items, clothing, and a Lazy Boy recliner. The man came into our house and said, in a very rude way, “We’re not going to take that chair because it’s worn.” What do they expect, a new chair? This one is perfectly functional and in decent shape! I tried to call at 3:41pm, but there was no answer. Their ads say they close at 4:00! What gives with this place? I wouldn’t give them the time of day after this rude experience!

Hey Samantha, that is a good question. U should call them and ask. I volunteered there 2 times a week for like 3 months. And I've met a few people that volunteered. I met 1 high school kid there ( so I know high schoolers can volunteer there ) but I did meet a group of college kids that was volunteering for college credits. If u call they will let u know. I hope this helped u or lead u in the right direction

Beds, yes, but did not see any refrigerators you have to have a referral to even go to Mustard Seed and they can if you call them or go up there they can tell you where to get the referrals from the referral has to be sent in for you and then you'll make the appointment and then they'll have the appointment day you'll go through the walk-through to pick out what they do have when I went they only had queen size beds no. No twins no Kings so you have to go with what they have and I got a referral from being in a domestic violence shelter so I was very blessed from that

They do assist with furniture. I actually took my daughter there on Wednesday and the process was rather painless. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. You complete an application and wait for someone to call you to do a virtual walk through of your home so they can see what all you need. My daughter completed her tour today and was very happy about the results. Hope this helps you!
I have a referral and she took the list of everything I need and yes I still have to pay 150$ plus get a truck plus drive an hour to get there. I am grateful please dont misunderstand but if I had $150 plus $100 for the truck $40 for the gas$10 for the tolls, and go right around the corner from my house and hit the salvation army or local good will. I def need help. But some help just looks like help so I'm not sure what to do now. Plus bed bugs is a scary thought and I'm not sure how to be positive your not getting those.
