False advertising for camps. We missed out on camps through Lakewood ranch high school to have the kids tryout basketball camp at ymca. It is just daycare!!! My kids do not need daycare, we signed up for basketball camp. My daughter watched other peoples kids, was yelled at and told to be quiet and watch a movie she had watched just the day before! My son went didn’t even do basketball at all on Tuesday. Not to mention all the kids swimming in the pool when lightening was 0.1 miles away!! This place needs to get it act together before a child gets hurt. This is so irresponsible.

I like Lakewood Ranch YMCA and the fact that they have an outdoor pool. The pool is the only facility I use at the YMCA, I just wish they would clean it, it gets really disgusting sometimes... also, there is no pool schedule online available, and it's hard to tell, if when I go there, I'm going to get a lap lane. They don't communicate any swim mets or pool events to the members of the Y (only pool closures), which is at times very frustrating, knowing that my 45min drive-time is completely wasted.

The YMCA is the best gym hands down! Whether you are wanting a family atmosphere with programs & activities for your kids or want a great work out with an instructor guiding you, the Y is for you! I personally love Body Pump and all the instructors are awesome!! You will meet lifelong friends at the Y!

They were very gracious to allow us to hold a Zumbathon class to gather contributions for Ukraine. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. The facility was top notch with the building and the parking lot. It was handicapped accessible and was very easy to locate.

Yes and there are alot of options. They have just about anything you could need. Staff on site near the gym area can show you how to use any of the equipment in case you are unfamiliar or it looks complicated. All you have to do is ask!
Generally but can be closed for maintenance or repairs at times. Also, some hours and days some or all of the lanes are closed for classes or meets.
The LWR YMCA does not participate in "Silver Sneakers."
Adult membership 30-61 is $51 per month or $612 per year if you pay annually. 62 yrs. and older is $48 month & $575 year. There are discounts for 2 adults or 2 Seniors in same household.
They use basketball courts as makeshift pickelball courts sometimes.
The overall maintenance is terrible they dont know what they are doing. and dont care about you.
