By far the WORST medical experience I have received from any professional clinic front desk team. I am a Private Physician who partners with Non Profits. I contacted Turning Points last week to get general information for the community and for patients who I cannot see. I first was connected with their main help desk. The young lady was very nice and got me transferred over to the medical department. A woman named Rachel answered the telephone. I asked if they took walk ins and what is the process of becoming a client. Right away my question was dismissed. Rachel was very quick to say they are not seeing walk-ins and they do not accept clients after 3 o'clock. I then asked her a simple question of when is the next walk in or how do appointments works. She kept cutting me off and saying they are booked for the next three months. I just wanted answers and clarification. My questions were not answered. I was DISMISSED! I then went in person on Monday to get their new patient packet just to have for my patients and resource. Upon walking in, no one greeted me. The young women at the front desk were talking amongst themselves in Spanish and it TOOK ABOUT 2 minutes for me to get acknowledge. Once again I was told they are not taking new patients or appointments and walk ins depend on doctor the day of. So why even promote a walk in service? Even dental emergencies I was told are not guaranteed. I was giving the "Patient Eligibility Packet" , quite lengthy and not explained to me. When asked for a walk through of the paperwork. I was told that they do not have time and cannot help. Mind you the lobby was EMPTY , no patients were present it was mid afternoon. Then in spanish one of the desk ladies made a very rude remark so i would not her but i did ( i understand spanish fluently) The desk had the nerve to say to another "Que ella no puede leer" meaning she cannot read. HOW RUDE IS THAT! You service a community of minorities and this is how you approach care? As a doctor , I was completely shocked by the processes and conduct this medical team had.

Well, I don't know what to say rn as I haven't been in yet. The reviews are all over the place though and I have to say the woman I spoke to on the phone sounded like she wanted to be anywhere else. I will update after I go in hopefully tomorrow... ttyl

I don’t know what I would have done without this place. I was in so much pain with my teeth the dentist I think her name was Stephanie and the hygienist Alexa were are so patient and kind. All of the receptionist and dental staff are amazing, I have the worst fear of anything in regards to dental but they have been so gentle during this process, I feel so fortunate to be receiving care from turning points!!! I didn’t get this level of care when I had good dental insurance I’m in tears even writing this because I was in so much pain I was barely making it through work and becoming impatient with my kids when they would make noises. Thank you guys so much

Is a wonderfull thing you want to help donating. We are in need of Coats and men's pants sizes 28-36 along with shoes and bikes. To be a volunteer, you will need to go to the main door and tell them you will like info of how to become a volunteer. They will guide you to the director of volunteer services. Thank you for your interest in Turning Points. Shelly R. (TP med assistant Clinic Dept.)
On the weekend The daily bread is open Saturday and Sunday to feed the homeless however the office is only open Monday through Friday for help with bus tickets clothing social services and other things like that
Yes if you have some one to to verify that you are going there
Yes they have computers & I'm not sure if they help with stimulus... Suncoast Workforce 1112 Manatee Ave W also has free computers, faxing, copying, printing, & assistance with both computers & resumes!! 😄 Hope this helps...if not send me a DM StevieLevengood @ gmail.com for more info, or maybe some assistance 🤘
yes, but I'm not sure if they are still taking applications for this quarter. They are given a certain amount of funds each quarter and usually they run out of the funds quickly because they get alot of applications. You would have a better chance if you are a veteran because they get served first. Prayers that you get assistance quickly!🙏
I work there and you do need to be registered. But, once set up, they offer many assistance programs.
I’m a dental assistant & a loose tooth can’t be fixed. You can get it removed.
Manatee county rural health services does

Call or go in and ask. I don't know if they do but they can refer you to someone who might.
No they are not open on weekends. Our Daily Bread does serve a meal every day though.
Wednesday's be there by 8am as a walk in.
For $5 you can get a bike, lock and chain. Do you have a card from turning points? If not, you will have to get that first. Be there first thing in the morning 7:30 or 8:00.
If they do it might be done at lecom on Lakewood ranch Blvd. They work together.
No, they don't do any major restorative work. They will do fillings, but that's it.
Free if you qualify, I had 4 pulled, currently unemployed for 6 weeks
Hello Gene, Yes - we do. The first step is to fill out our online application for assistance. Go here https://tpmanatee.org/rent-and-utility-assistance/ and click on the green "online application form" to start. Once the application is completed with all of the documents uploaded, a case manager will contact you for an appt. You can fill out the application from your phone, a computer, or you can come here Mon-Fri 8:30am-4pm to use one of our computers. There are volunteers here that can help guide you on the application too.
I would think so. There job is to help keep people off the Streets. I would call and make an appointment so you can be sure to have the correct documents they want, when you go in
Yes they do but within a certain time. I believe it's a year...
Does that apply if they just helped with a deposit the first time?

Go to motor vehicle & have your I'd change from S.C. to a friend or family's address who's willing to let you stay over their home. It has to be from manatee county to be seen.
They have some help. Go check with them
Yes. Go in to make an appointment
You will have to call them. It's of course by your income
I would send her a letter or a card to thank her properly for her help.
You have to go through open door when you come to turning points
You would need to go to the main office on 17th Ave. Across from the stadium and inquire. Open 9:00 to 5:00.
