I've been on a few mangrove tours now and this one was really spectacular. Insanely nice and helpful staff. My group really didnt have to do any work other than paddle. The staff handled the rest. Beautiful location. Decent prices and the tour length was just about perfect. And shout out to my tour guide Obryan with surf it he was super cool and funny. Loved answering questions and just knew a buttload of stuff about the ecosystem. 5/5 would go again.

What a peaceful experience as you glide via kayak through the Mangroves in Lido Key, Sarasota! We had a group of 11, including our amazingly articulate, knowledgeable and funny guide, Bobby! We all hailed from locations like Chicago, Ohio and the Netherlands! We enjoyed seeing and holding wildlife like Star fish and sea urchins and we’re treated with respect and hospitality. This is a not-to-be -missed experience for teens and up. And I see no way that there could be a better touring group than Sarasota Paddleboard with Bobby and his Dad, Bob. We hope to see you again someday!

Great kayak rental. Wet bag rental was perfect bonus too. The mangrove tunnels were beautiful. Didn’t see any manatees but tons of fish, birds, and jellyfish. Arrive early to avoid the line getting into the kayaks.

It was a perfect day to do this. Highly recommend. Reserve yourself a single or double. Very easy and what an amazing trip. Anyone that can get out of their own chair can do this, it’s worth every penny and our guide was patient and informative.

Yes If you just want a guide, or, Just want to paddle around, it's fine.
Your good even if they're in there they stay away from you. Idk why people think that Gators just decide to up and attack you. 🤦🏼♂️
You can do either -- the eastern most part of South lido is very close, as well as the main part of South lido, and if you choose you can paddle out to the gulf beaches. Just be careful -- the pass has very dangerous currents and people drown there. I would stick to the bay side unless you're very comfortable in the water, either swimming or on your craft.
Yes.
There are trails at the south park to walk. Have to tap to drive Ted Sperling Nature Park it's a kayak launch there are a couple of trails that walk out to Observation decks
It is not! The county installed a park official to oversee businesses and vendors operating in the park a few years back. In spite of the fact that, for years, people brought dogs to Ted Sperling park without incident (I used to work as a kayak guide there), the dog ban is now strictly enforced by any park official present. Even if all you want to do is use the launch to take your dogs kayaking, for example, you'll be asked to leave.
You don't have to make a reservation. Just bring in your cooler with food and drinks and you can stay all day
You need to reserve the kayak in advance. They can't rent them on the spot..park requirement.
Not a place for camping, canoe, kayak launch and picnic table.
