I came here with the family. If you like the outdoors and cooking out, this is a good spot to come to. Be prepared to walk a little, bring bug spray, pay attention to the terrain, make sure to extinguish your BBQ, and take your trash with you. It was definitely a good spot to come to that didn't require a lot 9f preplanning.

The best place to take your family or just to go for a walk alone. This place is clean and people are friendly. There are children areas with swings and slides. There are several areas with shelters to reserve for gatherings that include grills.

One of my favourite places to take my kids. The McKeldin falls trail is a beautiful, short(er) hike that I can get done in under 2hrs with three kids. Although... I do crush life so I hope it is the same for you.

Beautiful grounds and the trails are great and well kept but they really need to be marked better. There were many junctions where there were no markings or signs anywhere to be found. We took several wrong turns and ended up on a totally different trail. Signs only were facing one direction so we missed those as well. Great park and trails but could use more trail markers.

Is the McKeldin rapids trail clearly marked throughout, especially at the end? It looks like it jus turns onto the switchback trail at some point. I'm a new hiker and bringing my kids. Thank you!
