On my only visit to the House Ear Clinic, I waited an hour and a half to see Dr. Slattery. I never saw him. I had to leave. I was told on my way out that I would get a call from him. Two weeks later I received a call from his assistant. By that time I had scheduled an appointment with another doctor in a different facility.

II went to the House Clinic after another ENT failed to help with my ruptured ear drum. After literally months of visits, and a failed ear drum paper patch, surgery was recommended. I went to a supposedly top surgeon at Cedars who wanted to do a huge surgery on my ear that would have put me out of commission for a while, and I decided I'd get a second opinion. Boy am I glad I did. I went to the House Clinic and met with Dr. Slattery. He took his time to carefully inspect my ruptured ear drum, and then provided a number of options. What struck me was that his recommendation was to actually NOT do surgery, but try the paper patch again. Any surgeon who is NOT trying to push you into surgery is honest and ethical, because they're not making money by steering you away from a big expeensive surgery. Dr. Slattery took WAY more time than the previous doctor, roughing up the edges of the hole in my ear and positioning and testing the patch. Three weeks later, and my ear is COMPLETELY NATURALLY HEALED! No surgery. I'm so grateful to Dr. Slattery. As an avid scuba diver and scuba instructor, and underwater photographer, this positive outcome without expensive and potentially debilitating surgery was absolutely the best of all worlds. I can't recommend House Clinic and Dr. Slattery highly enough!

I had been to the clinic back in 1983 and 2001 for a completely different issues and I was very happy. Fast forward to 2019. Dr Peng was very nice but useless in diagnosing me. I had a major episode of vertigo in May 13, 2019. Went to House clinic in November I believe because I couldn’t get rid of the residual dizziness. Spent over $1,000 to be told absolutely nothing.

The doctor I saw was great, 4 or 5 stars. This rating is for how poorly the place is run. I called for an appointment and got an answering service. No one called back. I called again and got a service again. I missed the return call, called back and got an answering service. No one called me back. I called again, got an answering service and finally got a call back and scheduled an appointment. I arrived at 1pm sharp for a 1pm appointment (I was trying to arrive early, but LA traffic). It took 15 minutes for them to even give me the paperwork I needed to fill out. I turned in the paperwork 10 minutes later and was finally called back to a room about 20 minutes after that. Once I got to the room I sat there for another 25 minutes before I got up and found someone who worked there to see if I'd been forgotten. They told me they would find out what was going on, but if they did, they never told me. Another 10 minutes went by without anyone even coming in to tell me when the doctor would be there. I'd had enough. I walked out of the room and told the nurse that this was ridiculous and I was leaving. As I got to my car I got a call from them saying the were sorry and that the doctor would see me now if I came back. I went back and saw the doctor almost immediately. My meeting with the doctor lasted about 15 minutes and I left 2:50, almost 2 hours after I arrived. Despite their reputation for top rate medical care, I don't plan on ever going back.
