Cash only!!! Prices are really low and the food is amazing. The pizzas are literally LARGE! My husband says he has been coming here since he was a boy and he sees the same workers. I guess that's why you get workers with an attitude but again it's part of the history and their culture. Customer service could be better 😁

Very rustic and modern at the same time. Really embodies the highland park spirit. Staff are polite and welcoming and speak English and Spanish very well which is amazing. The pizzas are worth coming back for as well as their pastrami sandwiches. Whether it's in dining or pick up. I highly recommend this restaurant for any pizza or pastrami lovers in the world.

Picked up a large order of pizzas to go for a small get-together while visiting the Highland Park area. Ordered 7 large pizzas ranging from the Deluxe, Vegetarian, Margherita, and Cheese. Also, ordered a few Antipasto salads and Garlic breads. If you call, be ready to order as they're very busy and want to take your order quickly. However, they are very thorough in confirming your order, price, and estimated time. For my large order, they quoted 45 minutes which was exactly right as I arrived 45 minutes later as they were packing my last pizzas. As far as the pizzas, it's a classic Neapolitan pizza which you see them making by hand and cooking in the oven behind them. Pizza was large, thin, had a perfect charred crisp, and made with fresh ingredients. Pizza tasted just as good as it looked. I personally preferred the Deluxe, but all were equally as flavorful and consistently made. I can see why this has been a neighborhood favorite for many years.

We drove 25 minutes because of the good reviews. Big mistake. The plan was to share a sandwich for lunch and save the pizza for dinner. Let me start by saying that this was the WORST sandwich I have ever had. The bread was so hard and dry. They put no dressing on it at all so that just makes it worse. There were 2 small slices of tomato on the entire thing and wilted lettuce. Who looked at this sandwich and thought it was ok to give to a paying customer? Even after I put mayo, mustard, new tomatoes and new lettuce the sandwich it was still bad. Flavorless and hard. I am expecting the pizza to be a disappointment as well. There are 10 pieces of sausage on an XL and about 6-8 pieces of pineapple. I am seriously disappointed....again. Another $40 down the drain for mediocre food. It seems like businesses don't care about the quality of their food anymore and you would think that since we're in the middle of a pandemic they would want to keep customers coming back. Edit to add that the pizza does also disappoint. The cheese tastes like imitation cheese, the sauce is runny and tastes weird and we do not like the sausage. I do not understand how this place has so many good reviews. I guess people will like anything if it saves them a few bucks. I wouldn't eat any of this food if it was free. Total waste of money.
