I didn't even know this place existed until my sister-in-law picked it to go to dinner one night when she was in town. I am glad she did. My wife and I got the Award winning crab bisque and we have to agree it was award worthy. I got the fish and chips which was very good and the portion more than acquit. My wife got the crab cake, here in this area the composition for best crab cake is very strong. While this was not the best crab cake in the area it certainly is one of the better ones and definitely worth ordering.Service was very friendly and great. Plenty of parking. It worth the trip out to Rising Sun for a meal here. We will be back.

GREAT service and really good food! What more could we want? Love the great non-national-chain of it all! Its nice to find an independent restaurant who treats you like they want you there! Good place! We'll be back!

This was great! We went into the bar side (there is a bar side and a restuarant side and you gotta go outside between them) and had a little food and some beers. We ordered the crab bisque, chili, fries, chicken wings, and onion rings. Its a great dive bar! I didn't 5-star it out cause some of the food just isn't our style - the crab bisque is too creamy (which I think for most people is a great thing) and the chili wasn't beany enough (which again, I think is not a problem for others). But if you love wings, you'll love these. Get hot. I normally a mild or medium lady, but Donna, our amazing bartender, advised me on the hot, and she was right! And the onion rings were so so so good. They make their ranch in house too by the way, so try it. The bar has a shuffleboard table and some video poker machines and some tvs if your bartender isn't as fun as Donna!

Was checking out the menu to see if they still had duck and Liver and Onions. Both are no longer there. Now they are closed on Mondays. It was nice to have a restaurant in the area open on Monday's, because all the other restaurants are closed. I am so disappointed in the new menu and that they are closed. It was a great place for me to order my dinner on the way home on Mondays. They always knew who I was and had it waiting for me when I arrived. Sorry the old owners retired. The waitress, waiters and bartenders was alway polite and kind. I hope some of them stayed. I will miss the old menu and I know a lot of other people will as well. It was a nice down to home restaurant where everyone knew each other. Good luck to the new owners I hope you last.
