Beautiful park. Some areas are not as peaceful as you can hear the highway, but once you walk further into the park, it gets very peaceful with birds chirping and cows mooing. There is no cellphone service in most of the park. Make sure you bring water! It is dry in there, no water is available except at the parking lot.

Not a huge place but a great gateway to get to both los vaqueros and Morgan territory. The group camp here is nice with good bathrooms and ample room for camping and for your horses. The water at the group camp is non potable. The hike into the group camp has a few hills but most of the way it is flat. There is a little climb at the end and a beautiful view of the valley. I really enjoy hiking here and it has many different routes you can take.
