TERRIBLE! I injured my thumb at Walmart and went to the emergency at this hospital at 3:30in the morning. The attention with the doctor was lame, I didn't get out of there for hours. Then the doctor gave me a prescription for the pain, he said he would call in a prescription at my pharmacy at Costco in Lancaster. I went to Costco pharmacy and no prescription there. I drove from Tehachapi to Lancaster. I called today to see if my prescription was in. NO PRESCRIPTION WAS REQUESTED BY THE DOCTOR. This is 2 weeks later. I HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO GO BACK EVER AGAIN

My husband had an x-ray order from is physician. He went in on Monday afternoon and waited over an hour and left. He was never called. He went back today around 11:00 and another gentleman, waiting, got up and asked how much longer. He had been waiting over 2 hours. A third gentleman who was with his father got up and asked how long. His father was there for lab work. He said they had waited over 3 hours yesterday and had to leave to get his father home to take his medication. My husband left again after hearing these two gentlemen. If someone is feeling poorly that is a long time to wait. No excuse is good enough. It would be our impression that they need more radiology and lab techs.

I initially gave this hospital a 5 star review but after the last experience that I had a this hospital I give it a 1. According to federal law, if the patient requests a translator then the hospital MUST provide a translator and this hospital failed to do so with my parents. The other time that I came to the hospital I saw another family that were asking for a translator and the nurse simply said that they do not have translators.. The other thing is that I visited this hospital in the past 2 months because I have been feeling very unwell and just sick overall I took a COVID test here and they said it was negative and that there was nothing wrong with me. Well the same day that I was at this hospital I drove to AV hospital afterwards in Lancaster and they told me that I was COVID positive. Do not get tested at Adventist health Tehachapi, you will get false results. I did another test else where too and it came out positive. My other complaint is that my father went to the hospital and we asked the nurse if we could get a translator for my dad or if I could translate and she said “we’ll get a translator for him you need to get out” and so she told me to get out but told him that that they do not have translators after I left. They told him that he was COVID positive and he’s a diabetic and he told the nurse that he was a diabetic and needed medication to control his diabetes and they failed to provide medication and the attention that he needed for the simple fact that his COVID tests came out positive they just wanted him to leave. This hospital might be fast but the AV hospital in Lancaster is worth it. They’ll ask you if you have any medical conditions and actually pay attention even if it takes a little longer. How me and my family were treated at Adventist health hospital was just really bad. The nurses were so rude.

Fastest ER I been to. Only time it sucks is when they are at capicity or low staff for an evening due to COVID. I was there for 8 days with COVID pneumonia. They treated me very well there and took care of me. The doctors were very informative as well as the amazing work of all the nurses, radiologist and respitory specialist all working together to be sure I was getting better till the very last day I was able to get up on my own.

Yes they do, I've had the same thing treated here. Dr was very thorough and nice!
There isn't one. There are absolutely no labor and delivery services.
I have Kaiser and they have taken me, I only had to pay my copay. I think it depends on the situation and if they feel it's life threatening.
I believe they do, they have a great staff that work in the labs.
Hi Isaac, yes we care for patients of all ages and yes, we treat asthmatic patients as well. Thanks, Isaac.
I actually was in excruciating tooth pain when I got there...they had me in the lobby for an hour or so like I didn't really have an emergency.Didnt see a doctor, but I was examined by a doctor assistant, he was kinda pushy toward my husband...could be better....over all they took care of me best they could and gave me confidence to go home and care for myself.
Not likely. They'll x-ray, evaluate and send you down to Bakersfield. If you can get there I'd go straight to Bako myself.
They do if you have a referral. Just had a total knee replacement done one week ago.
It takes 3 to 5 business days. Last I checked...
No
They don't do sport physicals at the ER, you need to see your primary care physician for that.
Call registration office
Any ER has to accept any patient. Insurance acceptance comes down to admission for monitoring. If your insurance approves the facility, then you may be admitted. If the insurance doesn't approve the facility, usually based on the specialties available vs required, then they approve a transfer to a more appropriate facility which has the needed specialty.
Yes labs can be done through their outpatient services
8am to 8pm
They are phasing out the long term resident care and are just taking acute patients I think.
Yes, they have meat and veggies options
Yes the seniors live at the hospital.
Yes, it is. As of yesterday.
